Greetings, everyone. How are you? I hope you are fine. I am fine also. Today I am going to participate in the contest run by our beloved @Solaymann bhai in this community. This contest is about the transportation of our country. Let's begin.
Most of our country's transportation fuel is based on Hydrocarbon and Petroleum oil. Bangladesh is one of the largest producers of natural gas. However, natural gas is converted to Compressed Natural Gas - CNG. Many of our country's vehicles are powered by CNG. Motorcycles and Airplanes are powered by Octane. On the other hand, many vehicles are powered by petrol and diesel. Nowadays, some transportation also runs on electricity, like auto-rickshaws. There are some transportation also run by steam engine. In our capital, last year there opened a metro rail line service which is run by electricity.
Bangladesh is a land of rivers. Some of the largest rivers of South Asia flow over Bangladesh, like the Meghna, Padma, Jamuna, etc. The port city of Bangladesh, also known as the capital of business, is on the bank of the Karnaphuli River. So transportation by river is popular here, too. I can't mention only one transportation most popular in our country. Because transportation by road, by river and by railway is equally popular here. You can find people in Bangladesh who loves journey by Train, and you will find someone who loves journeys by river, or by road. Not a single mode of transportation is Supreme here. All three most of transportation methods are equally Loved by people in Bangladesh. We also have air travel facilities. There are ten internal and international airports in Bangladesh. People who don't want to waste their time by road or by river choose flying. All of the major cities in Bangladesh have airports. So it's an option too.
If you are asking about the area where I live, I mean the district, there is only one facility, which is the journey by road. So the most popular and common vehicles are there is buses, cars, and motorcycles. For short-distance auto rickshaws are also popular hair.
If I avoid journeys by air, the cost of all three modes of Transportation systems, I mean by road or by river or by train, are almost equal. Approximately ৳2-3/KM or $0.02-0.04/KM. But there are some problems. In South Bengal, january by river is mostly popular on this side. It took some time, but the cost was less than others. If you go to the North side of Bangladesh, the railway is popular here. There are some issues with the railway. The railway is run by the government. In a third-world country, like Bangladesh, anything that belongs to the government, there is corruption. But still, the cost of the journey is affordable, too. There are some places in Bangladesh where there is no river or no railway. The road is their only hope. The cost of the Bus is a little bit higher than train or river transportation. But that is a time-saving mode of transportation in our country. So people are also allowed that and consider that it is affordable.
There are benefits and problems in all the sectors of transportation in our country. And sometimes we can't do anything about that.
I would like to invite @shaplaa, @nadia252 and @rizwankabir to participate in this amazing contest.
