Losing a thing is very painful for any person. I look at everything or relationships I have had since childhood with great care. So I think it's really sad for a person to lose something. Our beloved

Yes! I lost my very valuable NID card on 23 September 2017. Which was and is very important to me. A NID card is something meaningful to every person. Mainly my bag was robbed. And in that bag, I had this NID card along with other important things. So I want to talk about the NID card without talking about other things.

What emotions did you experience upon losing the item?
After losing the NID card I became very emotional. Because my NID card and many other valuables were in a bag. My bag was stolen. The incident took place on the evening of 23 September 2017. I along with my father, mother, and younger sister went to Joydevpur after seeing my mother at the doctor. After eating at the hotel named "Surma" I got into a rickshaw to go to my uncle's house.

After coming in front of Gazipur Women's College, in the dark, two people suddenly came from behind and before I knew anything, my bag suddenly went away with a loud jerk. I got a lot of pain in my hand and it was itchy. I was in a great panic because the bag was robbed like this.
I was completely devastated by such a sudden incident. I had two debit cards along with a NID card, 5 thousand takas, my favorite kajal, lipstick, and some other important papers in the bag. It was lucky not to be robbed more brutally. But, any more I would have fallen from the rickshaw.
Did you do anything to find it? What was the result?
Yes, I did GD or general diary in the police station to find the NID card. And I closed the debit cards by calling the helpline at the bank. And later I went to the Gazipur police station council office and submitted a GD or general diary paper and photocopy of the NID card and also deposited 500 taka to get the card. Later gave me a receipt from there. I am sharing the picture of the receipt with you.
What steps do you follow to avoid losing such precious items in the future?
Here are the steps I have followed and will take to avoid losing such valuable items in the future.
• The NID card must be kept in a safe place or drawer at home.
• Do not go out with a NID card unless it is very urgent.
• I try to keep an extra document photocopy of my NID card at home so that I don't have to go out with the main copy when needed.
• When I go out, I try to keep the bag in my hand carefully and keep an eye on the surroundings.
• If something seems suspicious after going out, try to exit to a place where there are more people.
