How are you all I hope everyone is well and healthy by God's grace. Alhamdulillah I am also well and healthy with your prayers. Today is a very memorable and festive day. Because today is election day across the country. So I was very busy today so I will share with you my activities throughout the day. Let's begin.
Our house is located in Gazipur 2 seat. Zahid Ahsan Russel from Awami League is contesting from Gazipur 2 constituency and Kazi Alim Uddin Buddin is the independent candidate. But our family has always been Awami League. Moreover, Zahid Ahsan Russell is our relative. So anyway, for that we all will go to the polling station with great enthusiasm. So I woke up early in the morning today I have some duty at the polling station that is to give slips to every voter so that he can vote easily. So I woke up around seven in the morning and had a quick breakfast. I warmed the khichuri yesterday as I have no time to go to the polling station. My husband is the Awami League agent of the polling station. So I and my husband quickly got ready and went to the polling station. So he went inside the polling station and I took charge outside with some other people I knew. Voting at the polling station started at eight o'clock.
So I went there and cast my vote smoothly and with a lot of enthusiasm. After that again I got busy with slip bidding. There was a lot of crowd from 8 am to 12 pm due to which I could not take any pictures but only gave them slips. When the crowd of voters thinned down a bit, those of us who were on duty took some pictures to remember the day. Alhamdulillah everyone is coming slowly and voting smoothly without any problem.
Shattantra candidates like us are also giving slips and have a good relationship with them. Actually here everyone is voting very enthusiastically and enjoying the day. After 12 o'clock the crowd of voters has reduced a bit. So at noon our food came and we ate our food. They served chicken biryani as a reward. I still love to eat chicken biryani. However, more people came after noon. Alhamdulillah polling was completed in a very smooth and orderly manner till 4 pm.
As the election was being held in a school, the gates of the school were closed and the counting of votes started. And outside of us there was only fear and excitement among us men and women who would win. We were pretty much fully confirmed that we would win our boat and we had a couple of villages attached to our center before but with a new center there is less pressure here. So the number of Bhutanese was less there so the vote was over soon. In the evening announcing the winner of our boat from our center. So then the little kids and everyone started celebrating their happiness together.
Later in the evening I reached my home very tired and headache as I was very busy all day. So I came home and slept without having dinner.
