The Diary Game (20-12-2024) || Had a Lovely Time in my Village and Visited our Vegetable Garden.

Greeting my dear friends. Happy winter to all because we are currently experiencing winter in Bangladesh. And I have arranged today's blog with some of my activities spent on this winter day. At my village house my mother has developed a small vegetable garden in our place and the main topic of today's blog is to visit our vegetable garden.

The first thing I do when I wake up on a winter morning is to go outside my house and stand in the sunlight for a while. Why is it nice to feel the warmth of sunlight on a winter morning? After spending some time outside in the sun, I come back home and freshen up and cook. I went to the kitchen and saw my mother making hot parathas for us.

Enjoying hot food in winter mornings is different and in this case my favorite is hot paratha. Anyway, I sat next to my mother and enjoyed the winter morning and had paratha for breakfast.

Drinking a cup of tea after breakfast is my daily habit. I ask my mother to prepare a cup of tea for myself. I am a pretty good tea maker myself but I still prefer my mother's handmade tea. After breakfast, I felt refreshed after drinking a hot cup of tea made by my mother.

After drinking tea in the morning, I stand in the sun outside my house for some time and cool off a bit in the heat of the sun. Then I leave my house and walk towards our land because my mother has grown some vegetables in our fallow land. Growing vegetables at home is my favorite and I told my mother about growing vegetables earlier. After reaching my mother's vegetable garden, I saw some vegetable plants there and from there I first went to the bean and brinjal plant and saw that the plant had grown brinjal.

Then on the other side of the vegetable garden I saw small banana plants that were planted a few days ago. Our land had been planted with banana trees earlier and the yield was good, so my mother brought and planted banana trees again. Besides, I like banana plants more because the quality of bananas in house plants is better.

After inspecting the banana trees on another side of the land I found that there were gourds and for these plants to grow quickly my mother had made a loft on which the plants were growing very well. I am very happy to see this plant because my favorite vegetable is the gourd. Moreover, my mother took us to cut some vegetables from this tree for cooking.

After inspecting the gourds around I see more branches of the gourds and also the gourds caught in the gourds which I like much more.

The gourds of the trees in the village land would be very tasty to eat which I already understood. For that I cut two large gourds from there to cook for lunch. Greens and gourds are my favorite foods so I was more than happy to see the trees full of greens and gourds. Several times I visited the gourd trees and collected some gourds from there.

Next to the gourds I found several pepper plants that had white, black and red peppers growing on them. I am very happy to see all these plants because my mother has already cultivated many vegetables in our fallow land. Although all these vegetables are not enough but still we will gradually grow more different vegetables in our fallow land. While visiting the pepper plant I collected several peppers from the pepper plants and I found the peppers matured which I found quite good.

For now all the vegetables I can find in our vegetable garden and then I walk out of the vegetable garden directly to the river Yamuna near our house. It was said that the water of Yamuna river has dried up now and every year during winter the water in this river dries up. On reaching the banks of the river Yamuna, I saw a horse cart used by farmers to carry their crops home from the fields.

After finally reaching the bank of the river, I was mesmerized by the view of the river and waited there for quite some time. It is so nice to stand by the river bank in the sweet heat of the sun on a winter day so after visiting the vegetable garden I came straight to the river bank. The sun's rays fell directly on the river water and the river water was shining which I like the view more. Moreover, the mother of the river in Bangladesh, I like the river very much, so when I visit the village, I spend most of my time by the river.

Since winter is the dry season at present, the water in the river is drying up, so one can walk far from the river bank to the place where the water used to be. I went down to the river because the river water was very dry and I was walking through the river through this dry place.

Some parts of the river are completely waterless and some parts still have water. So I stay on the side of the river where there is water and many ditches of the river come down to the water of the river. As it was winter season, the water in the river was quite cold. Although I didn't come to the river bank to bathe but to soak up the warmth of the sun and enjoy the riverside view.

After enjoying the scenery along the river I headed home and it was almost noon by then. So after reaching home I freshen up and I'm a bit tired from the long walk so I sit and rest for a while. In moments of rest I eat cake for a light meal and then rest again.

When morning turned to noon I finished my afternoon bath and then had lunch. During lunch I discuss with my family members about the vegetable garden planted in our village land and later ask to expand this vegetable garden.
