"Wedding event"

How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Alhamdulillah I am fine too. Today I will be taking part in a beautiful contest of the Steem For Bangladesh community. This contest name is "Wedding event".

It is a great joy to attend relatives' weddings. Hearing the name of marriage is the first thing that fills the heart with joy. In Bangladesh, marriage means a grand ceremony. Participating in this grand ceremony is also a great joy. And when relatives get married, they have to attend it.

There, the wedding of both the bride and groom is done according to their ability and besides, in this wedding, distant relatives can easily witness it and on a busy day, everyone celebrating like this is also a different kind of joy.

I have participated in many weddings which are beyond counting. However, if we talk about experiences and feelings, they vary according to the ceremony. Wedding means celebrating this ceremony with joy. There is a joy from the wedding market to the 3 days after the wedding. In our country, applying turmeric on the body is the most joyful thing, this is a common rule in our country, but along with this turmeric, dancing, singing, and all kinds of joy are done by the people of the turmeric or their own family.

In many cases, relatives from the house of the person to whom the wedding is being done come and apply turmeric on the body, this is even more joy. On the day after the turmeric, it gives new joy. When the groom's side comes to the bride's side for the wedding, the new son-in-law is welcomed by setting off fireworks and bombs. Moreover, the bride's brothers and sisters of the bride's side hold the gate together, steal the son-in-law's shoes, and collect money from the son-in-law before washing his hands during the meal. This is the most joyous of all. A whole goat is specially cooked and prepared for the son-in-law's meal.

There, the jokes of the new bride and groom are beautifully mixed with joy. The day after the wedding, there is all kinds of joy, starting from entertaining relatives at the son's house. After the reception, the son-in-law stays at the bride's house for two and a half days. There, the son-in-law has a lot of joy the next day at the new in-laws' house, which is a lot of joy to eat together with everyone and the surrounding relatives at noon.

Yes, I am married, but our marriage was very happy. I was also very happy because I found the person I love. During the wedding, all the work was my responsibility, so I could not fully enjoy my marriage. I was a son to my parents, my father was sick, so I had to do everything.

I enjoyed all kinds of joy, starting from giving turmeric. On the wedding day, I had to stand in front of the gate first, as agreed, they gave me money and welcomed me with sweets and sherbet. Taking the gate money is just a pleasure, but some things in marriage are such a pleasure. During the wedding, our marriage was completed through the prayers of Huzoor. My shoes were stolen there, I was barefoot for a long time. However, I got my shoes from there by making a money deal with the bride's brothers and sisters. There was a whole goat on my food list, although I don't have the picture. There too, during the handshake, the bride's brothers and sisters took the money and washed my hands, after getting married, we brought our new bride to our house, there I shared a picture of us decorated with flowers.

The next day, when the ceremony was held at our house, I started performing my duties from the morning, there I also spent time entertaining my relatives and relatives, and at the reception. After the ceremony, I went to my in-laws' house for two and a half days, and in the morning I bought some salad from the market, brought all kinds of vegetables, a big rui fish, and meat from the market. We happily ate it in the afternoon.

In our country, different customs are followed in different places. However, the customs that are followed in our family or area are to arrange turmeric, give sweets and betel nuts to the bride's house along with clothes to the elders of the bride's house, etc. During the wedding, the groom's party and everyone together completes the wedding and brings the new bride to the groom's house and welcomes the bride and son-in-law home with sweet faces.

At the end of the wedding day, the son-in-law goes to the new in-laws' house and there is a special market the next day, which is called (in Bangladesh) Jamai Bazaar. In this market, the son-in-law buys all kinds of vegetables, fish, meat, and groceries. And a special pitha (cake) is arranged for the son-in-law at the girls' house.
