Betterlife - The Diary Game |26 September , 2024 A Day of Joyful Family Gathering After a Long Period.

Assalamualaikum everyone! I hope all are you in good health and having a safe time. By the blessings of the Almighty, I am well too. Today, I am excited to share a beautiful family gathering we had recently. Living away from our main home in Dhaka, in Chattogram, often makes us feel homesick, so when family members come to visit, it becomes a special occasion for us.

This particular morning started early as my sister-in-law and her family were visiting us. They had traveled overnight by train and were scheduled to arrive in Chattogram by early morning. By 6:45 AM, they reached, despite the heavy rain that had started and continued throughout the day. They arrived drenched, and after having some simple snacks, they went to rest for a while.

My baby woke up soon after, and I began preparing her for the day. From brushing her teeth to giving her a bath, everything was done early as she was so excited to meet her cousin. When her cousin woke up, she immediately got busy playing, and it was difficult to keep track of her.

My sister-in-law and her husband got freshened up around 11:00 AM, and we all had breakfast together. After enjoying some chit-chat with tea , I headed to the kitchen to prepare lunch. Thankfully, I had prepped everything in advance, so cooking didn’t take long. During cooking breaks, I would join my sister-in-law for some catching up. It was so heartwarming to see how much our little ones had grown; they were thrilled to see each other after four long months. They were so happy playing together that they forgot all about eating!

Lunch time arrived, and I had prepared a special meal for the occasion: Chinese fried rice, creamy chicken, Chinese vegetables, and special fish fry, which is my brother-in-law’s favorite. Everyone was delighted with the spread. To finish off the meal, I served a special dessert called “Creamy Layered Pudding.” It turned out perfectly, and everyone loved it.

After that filling lunch, we all took some time to rest. My sister-in-law and I however, decided to have some quiet time together. The weather was still rainy , so our plans to go outside had to be postponed. Since the rain wasn’t letting up , I quickly went back to the kitchen and made some chicken white sauce pasta for our guests. We enjoyed the pasta while having a long chat over tea.

Eventually , we decided to head out despite the rain, as we didn’t want to miss showing them around our neighborhood. My husband managed to arrange a car for us, and we ventured out into the rain, determined to make the most of the day. We drove around for half an hour, showing them some of the nearby spots. The rain added a cozy charm to the outing, and we ended up at a restaurant to enjoy some local favorites—fuchka platter and malai chai, which are specialties of this area.

After spending a lovely time together, we returned home, hoping that the next day would be free of rain as we had many plans lined up. With their short visit , we wanted to make the most of the time , showing them as many beautiful places as possible.
