Profession I would be in now if my childhood dream came true - A Medical Doctor

Introduction

Ouch the sun is so hot in my country, everybody is feeling heat around them. I wish the rain could fall for 30 minutes. Back to my mission here, am glad to have the opportunity to participate in this contest by writing my posts and uploading few pictures here despite the hot weather. I thank @msharif for hosting this contest.

What profession did you dream of joining as a child and why?

Back in my early stage of live have always said I will be a medical doctor. I love doctors and their duties so much, I had passion for it and I promised myself to finish university as a responsible medical graduate. I had always planned to help the sick with my dream job.

I remembered when I went to my aunt's office few years ago, she's a medical doctor and I saw how gentle and smart she is, I got triggered with the way her nurses were respecting here and informing her about current emergencies in the hospital, such a respect made me to know that those who are intelligent and smart, are worthy to be respected.

What are the reasons behind that dream not being fulfilled? And if the dream has been fulfilled, are you now involved in your dream profession?

The reason have not been able to achieve this dream is because of my current abilities. As soon as I entered SS 2 in school where my classmates and I were to choose between science and art courses and I discovered before then that I wasn't very good in biology class in my SS 1.

I got another alternative as I always discovered my strength which was doing very well in mathematics class, I was always getting the highest score in mathematics assignments as well as classworks and exams.

I was also good in technical drawing. I constructed perfectly during classmates and I used to help my classmates to construct things that are difficult for them. I explained all these to my favorite teacher in school and he told me to forget the medical course and follow my heart. Then, my heart and my strength was telling me to study Engineering and have made up my mind to study the course.

Highlight the differences between your current profession and your childhood dream profession Briefly discuss which one feels best to you.

There are lots of difference between these two high courses and they are;

The profession that feels best to me is that of Engineering due to the different things I engage with. Now have made up my mind to be a civil engineer, I now engage myself with things related to the profession and no longer things related to Medicine. I still love medicine anyway, but not as the way I love Engineering now. Thanks for reading.
