Like the Scotland (Meghalaya)

Meghalaya is a small Indian state known as East Scotland. This time the visit to Meghalaya was a challenge for me because for the first time I was accompanied by my family members. Tour.

How to visit Meghalaya

1st day
In order to go to Meghalaya, you have to mention in your visa by road Dauki. That means you have to go through Tamabil border of Sylhet. Besides, you can easily visit Meghalaya by by road Dalu or Nakugaon land port of Sherpur.

I went through Tamabil Border. Tamabil Border opens at 9 am. The more you go in the morning, the better for you. Immigration at Tamabil Border is one of the most hassle-free immigration in Bangladesh.

There is no sign of a broker here. If you go through Tamabil border, try to pay the travel tax in advance. You can also pay there, but in that case you have to pay 600 rupees.

After immigration in Tamabil, now it is the turn of immigration in Dauki. Looking at Dauki immigration, I think it is the most analog immigration in India. However, it is also quite hassle free. You have to have the same amount of dollars. Otherwise you will get in trouble.

Now it's your turn to fix the car. It will be best for you to fix the car in advance. However, you can also reserve a car from outside immigration as per your convenience.
Your main tour starts at the end of the car reserve. Today your main destination is Shillong. But on the way to Shillong you will see some spots. First there is Umkrem Falls. From there you will go to Borhill Falls which we see from Bichnakandi called Pantumai Falls Maolinong Village. You are bound to be fascinated by Maolinong Village. There is a living route bridge next to Maolinong. After visiting these spots you will go straight to Shillong. You can stop at different places on the road and get lost in nature.

2nd day
This day is mainly around Shillong. After breakfast you will first go to see Don Bosco Museum. It is a huge museum. But I could not see it because it is closed on Sunday. Then you will see Medina Glass Mosque, Umium Lake, Watts Lake. After that you can go to Elephant Falls. Elephant Falls can also be seen on the way to Cherrapunji. But I think it is better to see first. At the end of all you will go to Lightloom View Point. Lightloom View Point is one of the deepest canyons in Meghalaya. However, it is covered with clouds for about 24 hours. You may have some time to visit these places on this day. So you can do some shopping from Shillong Police Bazaar on this day. You may not have time later. However, if the purpose of your visit to Meghalaya is shopping, then you have to be completely disappointed.

3rd day
Departure for Cherrapunji very early in the morning. The places you will see on this day are Mockdock View Point, Garden of Caves, Wakava Falls, Masmai Caves, Echo Park, Nohkalikai Falls, Denthalen Falls, Wisedang Falls and Seven Sisters Falls. You can do zip lining for 400 rupees. Have fun
After seeing these places, you will stay in Cherrapunji tonight. You will get many home stays at relatively low prices to stay in Cherrapunji.

4th day
The fourth day is not for everyone. However, those who can take the challenge of this day will probably get a lot. On this day your destination will be Living Route Double Decker Bridge and Rainbow Falls. I have to pay 4000 more stairs. That means a total of 6000 stairs. I couldn't go to Rainbow Falls because I have family with me. I had to come back from Double Decker Living Route Bridge. You will spend the whole day trekking. You can leave or you can go to Cherrapunji that night.
If you come to Snowingpadeng at night, you can enjoy the softness of the Umengat River for a long time at night. If you want, you can rent a tent by the river at night and go camping.

5th and last day
Today you can enjoy boating, kayaking, jeep lining, snorkeling, etc. There are also fishing and bathing facilities in the river. To see the falls. The water of Krangsuri Falls is very clear. There is also a bathing system. After seeing Krangsuri Falls, Dauki will leave at four in the afternoon. It is better to come there earlier as there is a lot of traffic jam.

Not to mention my guide or driver on this tour. I will say only one thing about him. By the grace of God I have visited many places. My guide this time was so polite and sociable that my mother was crying for him when he left. Enjoyable and easy.

Meghalaya is a very clean place. Everywhere there is a separate place for dumping garbage. Wherever we go, we throw garbage in certain places and keep nature beautiful.
