Read me, read me they all cried. As he watched them chant their long and short names.

He thought. I can only read a few.

It would be crazy to read every book. He looked at the shelves and noticed something. some shelves were dusty while some were clean. What could have been buried so long that no one bothered to check? He took his time looking at the originals. They must over 100 years old.

What secrets lay in the old book section?

So he picked up the most silent book on the shelve. dusted it by blowing air over the surface.
He smiled at the title. It was all he needed to get going. It reminded him of Marla. She was an avid reader and writer.
She struggled to live while battling with cancer, she made Ted promise to find the only copy of the book she published hidden in the university library.

The moment he saw the title of the book - "The secret to happiness" he knew immediately it was by Marla. She always makes references to secrets and happiness. She was very jovial and enjoys playing games like treasure hunts or finding things in unexpected places. Even in death she still found a way to make him find one last thing.

As he gazed upon the book. The final phase of his quest, he felt closure to bid a final goodbye. Boldly imprinted on the book was written by Marla. He flipped to the dedication page of the book that saw him let some tears roll down his cheek.

As it said- to the love of my life Ted. You are the secret of my happiness.
