I’ve always enjoyed photographing plants and nature. As a result, 90% of my posts on this platform are about plants. I was wondering who would be interested in this type of plant photography. Only a few people are interested in it. But then this contest came to my attention, and I discovered that a lot of people are interested in this type of photography. That made me so happy because it meant I had found some people who shared my interests.

So my submission for this contest is Euphorbia milii, also known as the crown of thorns, the Christ plant, or the Christ thorn, is a flowering plant and succulent shrub in nature. This plant exists in a range of varieties with widely different flower colors.

Why is it called the Crown of Thorns? It has a backstory. It is said that the crown of thorns worn by Jesus Christ during his crucifixion was made from the plant’s stem, hence the name crown of thorns.

This plant is primarily used as an ornamental plant in summer-dominated areas, but it is poisonous. As a result, it is advised to avoid contact with this plant as it may cause irritation of the skin, eyes, and other body organs.
It is used as a pesticide, particularly for snail control.

I captured these photos from my office garden. Everyday when I go to my work, I enjoy spending some time in the garden. Sometimes I take random pictures of different plants as I love plants a lot. So these pictures are some of them. Hope you guys like it.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Hey! I'm sorry that your photos are underestimated. you have brought wonderful photos of Euphorbia Mile to our competition. As far as I know, only the juice of this plant is poisonous, so if you are careful you can be friends with it. :)

Thank you

Thanks for inviting me @greatketty. Unfortunately I didn't see your invitation earlier. So couldn't participate. The competition for this week has ended already. Hopefully I will join in next week's competition.
