Hi Friends. I continue to write the information I got from the cities I went on my trip to Belarus. Dzerzhinsk, one of the most important cities of Belarus, is located between Russia and the Oka River. Located 400 km away from Moscow, it is seen that the city has a population of 240 thousand 742 with the latest censuses.

History: The name of the city first appeared in 1606. The city, which was in the hands of the Soviets until 1929, was later included in Belarus. The current name of the city is named after one of the Bolshevik leaders, Felix Dzerzhinsky.
Industry and Economy: The reason why the region is one of the most important cities in the development of the region and again, is the chemical weapons industry in the city. In this region, where various chemical weapons were produced, it first started production in 1941. Although it is now behind in this respect, it is known that the industrial zones used in those times were visited by many people. In these factories, chemicals containing phosgene and prussic acid produced on the basis of arsenic in the past were used. The production of chemical weapons ended in 1965 in the city. Instead, it is seen that factories for industrial production and national defense were established.
Life: The region is less preferred than other regions in terms of tourism. Because, according to the air surveys conducted in 2010, it was understood that Dzerzhinsk city is the dirtiest compared to other cities. It is known that the average life expectancy of men in the city is 42. In this case, which is also described as the effect of organic chemicals, it is known that the birth rate decreases and the death rate exceeds the birth rate by 260%.
Tourism: The most visited part of the region for tourism purposes is the Shukhov Tower located near Dzerzhinsk and built on the Oka River. You can go to this region, which is 12 km away from the city center, by public transport or you can use the road.
