An orphaned girl takes up a job as a teacher at Edward Fairfax Rochester's estate. She becomes his fiancée, but Rochester hides a dark secret from the world. Charlotte Brontë tells about a great feeling that connected people from different worlds in a reality where rules determine the social "to be or not to be".

"Jane Eyre" was published in 1847 and immediately became a great success. The novel, one of the masterpieces of the Victorian era, harmoniously combines a melodramatic plot with insightful psychological observation and an atmosphere of mystery and horror.

"Life seems too short to me to spend it nurturing hatred and remembering wrongs."
Quote from the revated book

"Jane Eyre" brings us closer to the life of the title character. Jane became an orphan as a child, she was taken by her uncle, but later he also died. The girl was left at the mercy of his wife. Unfortunately, she was not treated well by the lady of the house and her children, until she ended up in the Lowood Division. She was educated, became a teacher, and then a governess at Edward Rochester's mansion. A relationship develops between her and much older Edward, but everything gets complicated. Will Jane find happiness?

"Jane Eyre" is not a novel for one, two, or even three evenings. I spent a lot of a great time with the book. I entered the adult world, I saw the power of love, devotion, and justice. Although the story goes rather slowly, it is very pleasant. If you liked the Crown, Downtown Abbey or another novels, series and movies of that type, you will definitely enjoy this book as well.
