I LOVE MY WORK US A REGISTER GENERAL NURSE:EDUCATION ON MALARIA AND ITS CAUSES

Hi guys. I am a staff Register General nurse and my duties include assisting patients with bathing and dressing, providing doctor-ordered medicine and treatments, collecting fluid samples, and overseeing the general well-being of your patients. Other common duties include recording vital signs, providing in-home care, and supervising the work of certified nurse assistants (CNAs).
To day am going to educate you guys on MALARIA because it has come to my notice that malaria case has come common in my facility.
MALARIA
WHAT IS MALARIA: is a mosquito-born disease of blood caused by the plasmodium parasite.this disease presents fever,chills,headache and profuse sweating among others, as clinical manifestations.
ETIOLOGY : MALARIA is caused by a protozoa parasite known as the plasmodium.Humam malaria is caused by four species of plasmodium parasite.this include
1.Plasmodium falciparum
2.plasmodium vivax
3.plasmodium malarieae
4.plasmodium ovale .
MODE OF TRANSMISSION
MALARIA is transmitted or spread naturally through the bite of an infective female anopheles mosquito know us MALARIA VETOR.
INCUBATION PERIOD
The incubation period in general has seven days or longer.
The risk factors include:
1.Young children

1. Pregnant mothers
   3.Elderly or old people
   4.Travellers to malaria endemic areas.
   Signs and symptoms include the following
   . Fever
   .Headache
   .Chills
   .Rigor
   .Fatigue
   .Lost of appetite
   .Sweating etc
   HOW CAN YOU TREAT MALARIA
   Malaria is treated with antimalaria medications and this depends on the severity of the disease.
   HOW CAN YOU PREVENT MALARIA
   1.Prevention of mosquito bites is the most effective means of preventing malaria and the achieve by sleeping in insecticide treated net.
   2.Ensure good environment sanitation to prevent breeding of mosquitoes by cleaning all bushes, stagnant water and carrying mass spraying exercises against mosquitoes.
