  • Self Plagiarism ; Is commonly described as recycling or reusing one's own specific words from previously published

  • Accidental Plagiarism; is occur when a person neglects to cite their sources or misquotes their sources or unintentionally paraphrases

  • Mosiac Plagiarism; Is when a student borrows phrases from a source without using quotation marks, or find synonyms for the another's language while keeping to the same general structure and meaning of the original

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM

  • Use a plagiarism checker before you submit

  • Credit the original author in an intext citation and reference it

  • Paraphrase or quote from your sources (and add your own ideas)

Keep track of the source you consult in your research

THESE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF PLAGIARISM

  • Taking passages from multiple sources, piecing
    together, and turning in the work as your own

  • copying large pieces of text from a source without citing that source

  • Turning in someone else's work as your own
