Achievement 1 : My Introduction

Hello Everyone! I hope you all are doing great! I have finally made the decision of joining Steemit. I hope I can be a great addition to this wonderful community.

Introduction
Well let’s start with a little bit about myself. My name is Afifa Dilawaiz and I am from Islamabad, Pakistan. I have recently graduated from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) with a gold medal. I am now prepared to enter my professional life and very excited for it.

Education
I have done my schooling from Westminster International from where I did my O and A levels as well. Growing up I was an all-rounder, excelling in my studies and extra curriculars. I was the Head girl in O and A levels winning the elections with 2/3rd majority.
I was also active in debating, even management, and theatre especially. I both acted in and directed many school plays.

After doing my A levels I went To Ghulam Ishaq khan Institute (GIKI) for my undergrad. I did my bachelors in Management Sciences with a major in Supply Chain. It was a major change from my life back in Islamabad. Living independently away from home was a challenge, however I made the most of it. Our campus had numerous activities for students to take part in, many of which I was a part of, however I did not let that distract me from my studies and was able to receive a gold medal from the President of Pakistan upon my graduation.

I will say these 4 years of university were quite possible the best years of my life. I learnt to be independent, mentally strong, stand up for myself and fix problems without relying on my family.

Interests
I have many interests but to start off let’s start with amateur level interior designing/room decorating. This was something I gained an interest in after joining university. I had a dorm all to myself and I made it my mission to make it as homy and cozy as I could to fight the homesickness.

I also have an interest in travelling. I think travelling is one of the best experiences one can have. Seeing other cultures and how things are done in other parts of the world is such a wholesome experience that is too valuable. I have travelled both in Pakistan and outside it. I wish to travel to many other countries in the future and make some amazing memories.

I also have recently developed an interest in cooking and baking. I like reading books as well, although I am very picky about which books, I read. Lastly, I have a huge interest in fashion, I love styling outfits and just anything about fashion has me interested.

How did I find about Steemit?
My cousins @aizazghumman and @attiyaasghar told me about steemit a couple of months back. I have an interest in cryptocurrency already and when I got to know about this platform it really grabbed my attention. As I believed I could learn a lot from it while also being an integral member of this community. I would love to get to know all the amazing members of this community and exchange useful information as well as innovative ideas.
