While earning in the Steemit platform may be easy, withdrawal is always frustrating for newbies. That is because as newbies, they haven't learned about steemscan.

Steemscan is a tool within the Steemit system that makes withdrawal easy. It enables account holders to exchange their rewards to any currency of their choice.

For example, you want to cash out in paper money or legal tender, it's in steemscan you can effect that. You can also exchange with Bitcoin. In this articles, I going to explain to you what I understand about steemscan under the following heading:

1. Steem price and volume

2. Information displayed under latest transaction and latest block tabs.

3. The information displayed under witness tab and how to vote a witness.

4. What is DAPP and 3 DAPPS I have used or may use later?

Steem Price And Volume Today 17/01/2022

Steem price is the rate at which steem exchange for other currencies. Note that this changes with time, meaning, the price today may not be the same tomorrow. In this discussion, we are going to use steem/usdt and probably steem/bitcoin to show the current price.

Then volume on the other hand, is the amount of the currency available for traders in the market. According to tokens24.com

So, lets explain the price and volume of steem as for today.

Steem Price As At Today, 17/01/2022

The steem price as it is shown in steemscan.com is $0.41. You can see it from the screenshot below, where it is written Steem/Dollar and just below is written $0.41.

Steem Volume As At Today 17/012022

Look at the top left side of the screenshot, is written supply. Supply is another word for volume in the steem ecosystem.

And as at 17/01/2022, we have 397,958,492 Steem. This same amount equals 10,343,233 SBD. SBD is Steem Based Dollars. It's the liquid currency in steemit ecosystem.

Information Displayed Under Latest Transaction And Latest Block Tabs.

The information displayed under latest transaction are as follows:

• Block ID

This is a code that identifies every transaction made in the steem blockchain.

• ID

This is a code that enable steem users track any transaction on the platform.

• Sender :

This shows the username of the sender in the transaction.

• Receiver/Permlink/id

This is the beneficiary of the transaction, which may be either, community or individual.

• Type:

Type show the action taken in the transaction. This must be either transfer, comment, vote or reward.

• Amount/Percentage/Payload

This shows the size of transaction. This must be either in percentage or amount in dollars.

All that are the details of all the transactions from the sender down to the receiver.

The Information Displayed Under Witness Tab And How To Vote A Witness

Witness simply put is a person who creates new steem. While other blockchains have miners, steem have witnesses.

The information displayed under witness tab are as follows:

• Last block height

• Current Witness

• Rank

• Active witness

• Status

• Version

How To Vote For Witnesses

As a steemian, voting for witnesses is one of the best thing you can do on the platform. This is because if you don't vote for the witnesses they won't create more steem that are shared to authors and curators.

If you don't know, the witnesses get only 10% of every new tokens blocked i steemit, and the remaining 90% are shared to authors and curators. Since you can vote for them with absolutely no extra cost, you must vote for daily. Note that you can vote upto 30 times daily without affecting your steem power, unlike during curation.

How To Vote For Witness

To vote for a witness you will have to click this link

This will display the top 100 witnesses on the network. You will have to vote just the way you vote for authors on this page: Vote

Just click on the arrow pointing up, on the witness you want to vote. It will redirect you to a login page where you will have to enter either owner key, active key or master password to complete your voting.

What Is Dapp And 3 Dapps I Have Used Or May Use Later?

DApp means decentralized application or distributed application. It's decentralized because it distributes a single data in thousands of computers worldwide.

With DApp, no individual or organization has control over data stored in it. This applications enable internet users to have their data back. It's unlike centralized system where operators assume ownership of data entered in their system.

How To Use "Quick Convert" And What Is The Fee Charged For Different Steem Amount For Withdrawal?

How To Use Quick Convert

This is a page within the steemit system where steem is converted to three currencies; USDT, BTC and Tron.

You can start using the tool by clicking the menu button on steemscan homepage. Browse the drop down and locate, "Quick Convert". It will redirect you to this page.

In this page, you will enter the following data:
• Amount of Steem you want to convert.
• The currency you are converting to.
• Withdrawal address for USDT
• It will display the amount that will be credited to you, and the amount charged for the transaction.
• Click "Create Order".

Different Steem Amount For Withdrawal
To exchange steem to the three currencies listed on the quick convert page, BTC, USDT and TRX, you will have to pay differently. While withdrawal through btc attract highest fee, TRX attract lowest fee. Below are the amount charged in each currency:

• Exchanging 200Steem to USDT attract 2.228USDT.

• Exchanging 200Steem to TRX attract 10.013TRX. This translates to 0.070025 × 10.013= $0.7011603.

• Exchanging 200Steem to BTC attract 0.00051848bt, which equals to $21.880610. You can see the differences.

What Information Do You Get When You Use The "Search" Feature?

Search feature on the steemscan menu is a tool that helps to locate a number information on the platform. You can search the following using the tool.

• A particular block using the key if you have them.

• Tranactions you can provide their required information.

• Account you can provide the login keys.

When you types these words, the system will redirect you to the one you want.
