I'm so happy to write this achievement 2 which talks about security. All thanks to @cryptokannon and also my friend @bright15 for the guidelines about the different keys in steemit.

Security is simply a state where oneself or property is free from danger. It is very important to every human because it is the safety measure taken to keep one covered.

STEEMIT SECURITY

---

Security in steemit are measures taken by the body to guide the privacy of it's member, for this reason, the organization developed some keys known as permission keys which have different usage and only known to the owner.

The five permission keys in steemit are active key, master key, memo key, owner key and posting key.
Below is a brief discussion on them.

➡️ MASTER KEY

---

Master permission key is a key that is above all other keys, as the name implies, a master is a person that has the supreme power over something or someone.
This key controls all other keys and it's designed to perform specific functions like changing other keys. It is also called steemit password.

➡️ MEMO KEY

---

The memo permission key is specifically used to convert information into secret code(encryption) and also to decode secret code(decryption).

➡️ POSTING KEY

---

As the name implies, this key is for posting which is it's major activity although it also performs other activities like upvoting, i.e to support a post and down voting, i.e to demote vote from a post, selecting who to follow and who not to follow.

➡️ OWNER KEY

---

To own simply means to rightfully possess something.
So Owner key in steemit is the key that gives you full access to your account, it is the key that gives you the power to change other keys. It is one of the most important keys in steemit.

➡️ ACTIVE KEY

---

Active key is specifically used in the confirmation of transactions and in user setting, but it is also used in posting and some other specific function.

HOW TO SECURE YOUR KEYS

Everyone has different ways to secure their keys based on the explanation give to me I feel but the most important thing is to know is that you must make sure your key is secured.
After @ederra created my account, he told me to make sure I keep my details safe and immediately I copied my master key and other keys to my Gmail account where I have access to it even if my phone unfortunately gets missing and locked my PDF reader with a strong password to prevent anyone from accessing it.

PROCEDURES FOR TRANSFERRING YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT

➡️ Click on the round icon that houses your profile, then click on wallet and sign in to your wallet.

➡️ Click on your steem balance.

---

➡️ Click on transfer in the options that displayed when you clicked on your steem balance.

---

➡️ Insert the username of the person you want to transfer to and the amount you will like to transfer, then click on next and confirm the transaction.

HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM

➡️ Click on the icon that houses your profile.

---

➡️ Log in to your wallet.

---

➡️ Click on your steem balance.

---

➡️ Click on power up in the options that displayed when you clicked on your steem balance.

---

➡️ Insert the amount you will like to power up then click on power up to confirm the transaction.
