Hello steemians it's good to write again after I completed my achievement 2. this achievement 3 talks about on content etiquette and playgarisom. I hope you all find my work interesting, educative, and informative.
Plagiarism can be seen as an act of stealing someone's work, suggestions or fact and still claiming it's yours. Plagiarism have been found in many countries like turkey, Japan, china, finland, iran, and so on.
In our educational system in this 21th century, plagiarism has taken charge of many student's life today, because they refuse to read and wait for their fellow students so they can copy their work without any reference.
There are different types of plagiarism known all over the world, but in the course of writing this achievement, I'll explain the underlisted ones.
- Complete plagiarism
- self plagiarism
- Accident plagiarism
- Direct plagiarism
This type of plagiarism occurs when someone trys to steal another person's work and submit and claims to be his own work without him referencing the work to the owner.
This kind of plagiarism occurs when your copy your own work knowingly or unknowing. Many people may think self plagiarism is not toxic because you are not stealing the work from someone else and it is so not harmful but as long as an already created work is copied without referencing, it is regarded as self plagiarism.
This type of plagiarism can also be called auto plagiarism.
This kind of plagiarism occurs when an author copies someone's work without knowing that he/she has done that, if it happens by mistake just have it in mind that he/she has done plagiarism and it will be taken into consideration.
This kind of plagiarism occurs when a researcher copies the work of various author in verbetim i.e word to word and claims it to be their own real work. it is also called copied plagiarism.
Source simply means where something is gotten or colleted from or how it was acquired, that means this kind of plagiarism occurs when a writer has two different sources of ideas and left with just one reference.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM IN STEEMIT
Firstly, STEEMIT is a platform that help you share and develop your ideas and reward you in the form of crypto currency
CITATION
One of the best way to avoid plagiarism is by citation. Citation simply means the act of citing the original authors work. Suppose I take another author's work, and I must cite it either by providing the source or by referencing. To understand this clearly the exam below will clarify us better. Let's check it out.
As of the time of writing this post; Steem Price (STEEM) is $0.4434 and is Ranked #197, while the watchlist is at the range of 37,761, Circulating Supply of 393,460,542.63 STEEM, this data is based on the coinmarketcap steem statistics.
QUOTE
Quoting is another means to avoid plagiarism. It entails the act of quoting the original author's work and providing the source in most cases. For example;
The blockchain has since evolved into a separate concept, and thousands of blockchains have been created using similar cryptographic techniques. This history can make the nomenclature confusing. Blockchain sometimes refers to the original Bitcoin blockchain. At other times, it refers to blockchain technology in general, or to any other specific blockchain, such as the one that powers Ethereum. Source
▪️ avoid stealing someone work to add to your own work that's plagiarism.
▪️always make use of quotation marks and make sure you indicate where any word is coming out from that is not your own.
▪️in all it is very good to make your own ideas and make use of them properly.
Plagiarism should be avoided in all countries in the whole world at large because it is very toxic especially those in the educational sector if the person wants to be leader tomorrow or in the future.
I have read and understood the STEEMIT etiquettes on the STEEMIT community and I will try my best to adhere to them
Thank you for reading my achievement 3 I appreciate you all for your kindness.
