What is Plagiarism

The act of misrepresenting the ideas, words, or work of another person as your own is known as plagiarism. Whether you directly copy someone else's writing without giving them credit or paraphrase their work without giving them credit, plagiarism is considered intellectual property theft and is not permitted. You will be held responsible for any plagiarism or attempts to pass off someone else's work as your own.

Types Of Plagiarism

Direct plagiarism

Direct plagiarism is the act of copying verbatim another person's work without acknowledgment or quotation marks. It is immoral, intellectually dishonest, and punishable by disciplinary action to plagiarize someone else's work.

Self-plagiarism
Self-plagiarism occurs when a student uploads his or her own prior works, or portions of those works, without first getting approval from all of the professors concerned. Use of a section of a term paper from high school in a paper for a college course, for instance, would be inappropriate. The act of turning in the same assignment for several classes without first getting approval from both teachers is likewise a kind of self-plagiarism.

Accidental plagiarism
Accidental plagiarism is the use of identical words, word groupings, or sentence structures without properly crediting the sources, as well as purposeful misquoting and unintended paraphrasing.
Students must learn how to take thorough notes during research tasks and how to correctly reference their sources. Plagiarism is never accepted.

Mosaic plagiarism
When a student uses phrases from a source without citing it or comes up with synonyms for the author's words but keeping the original's overall organization and meaning, this is known as mosaic plagiarism.
