Hello everyone

I am @aniqamashkoor from Pakistan making my post for achievement 3. Thank you @cryptokannon for explaining every achievement in detail for the newcomers. It helped us a lot in all means.

WHAT IS PLAGIARISM?

Plagiarism is to copy someone else work as it is and then present it as your own content. When a writer does not give credit to the original writer and steal his ideas and press other then, it is plagiarism. . Plagiarism is when you do not include citation in your paper. It is stealing intellectual property. Plagiarism is an ethical crime in writing and a plagiarist can never be a good writer.

HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM?

To avoid plagiarism we need to remember these few things:

1)Cite your source.
2)Instead of copying present your own idea
3)Use quotation mark for quoting your source’s words.
4)Paraphrase your text.

HOW TO CITE SOURCES

Citing and sourcing is very important to avoid plagiarism. We should always at first place cite all the work that we copy from other places, either it is a line or a whole paragraph. Regardless of whether you found the information in a book, article, or website, and whether it's text, a graphic, an illustration, chart or tablet. It is recommended to add a source after every separate idea. Citing makes your work presentable and give it worth it. Of course, it helps in avoiding plagiarism but besides this, it makes our piece of writing worthy.

we should use quotes" " or > markup for every copy/pasted sentence.
we should provide proper reference to every paraphrased paragraph.

This is all from my side we should always try to bring original content and if we are copying someone else idea's or thought we should always cite the sources to avoid plagiarism.
