Hello valuable people of the steem community. I'm excited to put together these few lines in fulfilment of my Achievement3 as a major requisite of every active steemian.

What is plagiarism?
This simply refers to the unauthorized copy and use of ones work without permission or citation.
It there refers to the use of work that belongs to someone else without referring them or giving them credit.

Plagiarism is so bad that it is punishable in school, on steem and in different countries countries under laws governing and protecting copyright infringement.

On steemit, when you're noted for plagiarism, you'll first be notified and warned ans should every effort to call you to order proves futile, your posts can be muted by an admin.

To avoid plagiarism, steemians are supposed to always acknowledge the authors or sources of all contents that are copied.
Types of plagiarism
There are basically 8 types of plagiarism as listed below;

• Complete plagiarism
• Source based plagiarism
• Direct plagiarism
• Auto plagiarism
• Paraphrasing plagiarism
• Inacurrate Authorship
• Mosaic Plagiarism
• Accident Plagiarism

Plagiarism can be avoided by using the following checks.

1. Paraphrasing instead of copy and paste.
2. Use of Quotations.
3. Citation and referencing.

The objective of Achievement 3 is to encourage creativity among steemians and to encourage the use of ones works.

The Achievement 3 also calls us to the understanding of the complete steemit Content Etiquette.
These are simply a set of things not to do or to avoid on the steemit platform and include but not limited to the following..

1. Don't post and run.
   This is so important because usually alot of steemians do not interact with the Contents of fellow steemians ans that makes the community less educative.
2. Don't over post.
   This is a serious issue because most steemians think to earn more on this platform you need to post too much which is not true. We are advised to put up a maximum of 4 posts a day.
3. Don't post nudity. On other social media plafroms, a lot of people use nudity to create attention and gain traction but that's unacceptable on steem because there are people of different ages on this platform and you can't really control who sees your content since it's a social network.

There are other content etiquettes such as No plagiarism, No tag spamming, No direct ask for votes among others.

Personally I think Achievement 3 is very important because it really encourages creativity across all users of this platform and I'll like to also use this opportunity to thank @arrowgate for his input on this topic.
