Hello fellow steemians, is a goood day for me to be here and am very happy at this moment. I would be doing my achievement 3 post pertaining to the task giving on plagiarism through my own understanding.
WHAT IS PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism is the act of copying someones task or work with or without the person's knowledge.
On this platform, when someone plagiarizes, the work done would be muted or votes for it would not appear at all.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
There different types of plagiarism, but I would like to talk abouton three upon my study.
There are:
1.ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM
This occurs to a lot of people.Individuals can do assignment on their own but unfortunately for them the words,sentences and lines have been used by someone else already.When this happens to you it is also called plagiarism and the punishment that will be given to those who plagiarized will equally be given to you. So please try as much as possible to always go over your task again and again before presenting it here.
2.DIRECT PLAGIARISM
This is the worse type of plagiarism to me because every word and letter will be copied following the same sentence.Individuals are always punished when caught with this type of plagiarism because they know well the person you copied from has no idea about that but still copy it out.
3.MOSAIC PLAGIARISM
With this type people borrow sentences or lines from sources without sourcing anything to it showing they got it from that site and others will not even put them in quotes.
CAUSES OF PLAGIARISM
The above types of plagiarisms are caused through the following reasons.
When someone gets a higher mark on their work, others think the work is not done by them, so they copy thier work and post it on their own. So that they will also get the same higher marks.
Again, others feel lazy to do work on thier own, so they try to copy others, in order to reserve thier energy.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
We can avoud plagiarism, by always givibg remarks to the people or site you think your results are gotten from.
Also, dont forget to attach the source in which your reaults are gotten from.
REMARKS
I have learnt alot today about plagiarism and I would try my possible best by putting it into action and also educate others.
I have read and really gotten the understaing about steemit etiquette on steemit community and I will embrace them always.
