Hello guys, this is the Newcomer's Achievement 3 task. The basic objective of this task is to enlighten users from my knowledge's extent, the basic Steemit guidelines on content creation, the 'Proof of Brain' concept and fundamental Steemit criterion to guide you on clear and flawless content creation.
As an open social platform, Steemit entertains the posting of a variety of legal content by users ranging from (but not limited to) memes, blogs, stories, write-ups, videos, photos and lots more. It all depends on your creativity and strictly your creativity alone.
Why do I say this?...Steemit rewards users based on original content created off their own brain efforts. This is known as 'Proof of brain' as the token received is proof and payment for your mental efforts. As such, Plagiarism of any sort is not condoned by the platform as it may result in the flagging of the material which is the last thing you want happening to you...believe me.
Now, a situation might come up where you may need to provide some specific information which you may or may not be able to provide on your own, and might need to include someone else's work directly or indirectly to accomplish a particular task. In such cases, you would be required to provide a proper link(citation) in reference to the source material so the owner would be properly credited for his/her work, and as such, you yourself would be cleared off plagiarism accusations.
How to cite sources
The copied text could enclosed in quotation marks with the source provided at the end e.g
"The term crypto token refers to a special virtual currency token or how cryptocurrencies are denominated" source
Or, you could use the blockquote markdown– ">" instead e.g
"The term crypto token refers to a special virtual currency token or how cryptocurrencies are denominated" source
Both methods are acceptable.
Incase you wonder, I learnt how to use the ">" markup here. Feel free to visit.

I have read and understood the Steemit etiquette on the Steemit community and will do my best to embrace them.
