INTRODUCTION

Dear esteemed Steemians, it is exciting to have introduced and identified myself to the community through my achievement 1 post. Achievement 1 requirement captures details about a person.
It is a requirement that I have fulfilled.

Having done with achievement 1, I now head for my achievement 2.

It can be painful for one to lose his/her hard-earned money as a result of not securing the account properly. So Understanding the security keys and measures applicable to steemit, is an important course to undertake. This basis forms my discussion on achievement 2

For this purpose, I have provided the answers for the security questions generated below.

• HAVE YOU RETRIEVE ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?

Yes! I have successfully retrieved all my keys on steemit. It is one of the first steps My guide informed me that I should learn, and know about the security measures to be taken. There are different types of keys and their different functions

• DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEYS FUNTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS?

Of course! I now know the function of each of the keys. Below are the keys and the functions they perform. The keys are:

• The posting key

• The Active key

• The memo key

• The master key

• The posting key:

This key is used to perform actions like logging into my account, voting, and commenting on someone's posts. It can also be used to carry out delegation tasks to communities, and I can use it to log in to my wallet.

• The Active key:

In Steemit, the active key is used to perform tasks like powering up and powering down, confirmation of delegations to other accounts, and transferring funds. With the active key, these tasks are made possible.

• The memo key:

The function of the memo key is to encrypt and decrypt private information or messages. When information or messages are encrypted, it prevents unauthorized access to such information or messages. Now to allow for access to such information or messages, it will be decrypted.

• The master key:

The master password or master key is used to generate other keys for an account. If the master key is compromised, the account holder loses the account and all funds in it.
This is the reason it is necessary to safeguard the master key.

How do you plan to (keep) secure your master password?

Having understood how important the master key is, the question of how to secure it is also necessary. This is so because, since the key is used to develop other keys as well as using it to recover misplaced or lost accounts, keeping it in safe custody is highly recommended.
So for this reason , I have taken my master key out into a secured drive to ensure its safety.

Do you know how to transfer your tokens to another Steemit account?

Oh yes I know, it might be either for selling or other things. Below are some steps on how to transfer your tokens to another account.

• Step 1: First, log in to your account by adding your posting key, and after that, you need to click on your wallet and then sign in.

• STEP. 2:-
  According to the picture shown below, You need to consider this second step which is tapping the step box indicator, After you are done tapping this indicator, you will notice different transactions buttons which will be shown which are the tranfer, transfer to saving, power-up, trade and market. Finally you select the transfer button then move to the next stage

• STEP 3:-
  At this stage you have two question to answer which are tranfer from and to. Then your consider adding you username, which indicates that the token is being moved from you account , then consider adding the the username of the person you want to transfer the same token. As shown below. 👇

• STEP 4:

This is said to be the finally stage. After you are done considering the third stage which is adding the username you want to transfer the token to. Then you click on the NEXT button finally add your active key which is normally use for transferring tokens and click on the confirm buttons. immediately the token will be transferred.

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER-UP YOUR STEEM

Indeed I have learned how to power-up my steem in other to access so many things in this platform, the steps are shown below.

• STEP ONE:-

The First stage to consider is to log into your wallet using your posting key, Then click okay. And then consider the next stage

• STEP TWO
  After you are done logging into your wallet, You then consider clicking on the box indicator, At this point you notice many transactions series but click on the power-up button.

• STEP THREE

At this stage you need to add the amount of your choice, which you really desire to power-up, then click on power-up.

• STEP FOUR

This is the finally stage, At this stage you actually need to confirm the vesting/transaction which you are about to power-up, finally click on the okay button. The token will immediately be converted into steempower.
