INTRODUCTION

The next tool to be analysed and understood is the steemscan.com and this forms the basis of the second task of achievement5.

Steemscan is an exchange tool on the steem blockchain which enables users to convert their steem to other crypto-currencies such as USDT, BTC, TRX.

"Steemscan was developed by @futureshock and @roadofrich."
It is a user friendly tool that can easily be understood, even by a first time user."

A good knowledge and understanding of this tool will enable a newbie to handle their exchange and withdrawals without seeking the assistance of anyone. This saves time as well as any possible loss that might accrue from highering the assistance of an old hand.

I shall be reviewing the steemscan tool under the 6 questions posited by this task. I do hope that my readers will come to terms with how conversant I am becoming with this tool at the end of this work.

Question 1

Please explain What is the current Steem price and volumes on the date of submission of this review?

From the screenshot above, the chart is showing the prices of steem at different traded exchanges in one day. Therefore, to determine the current price of STEEM at any given time, you calculate the average of the prices for the day, which is $0.8697 as I calculated from the chart, and also as at the time of this review. Whereas the steem volume can be determined via the cumulative of the total trade value at an interval.

Question 2

Please explain What all information is shown under Latest transactions and Latest blocks section?

You can see all the latest transactions taking place momentarily with the use of steemscan.com
Information that can be seen under latest transactions include;

• comments
• vote
• create order
• order cancel etc

Question 3

Please explain What all information is shown under Witness section and steps to vote a Witness?

Witness

The witness feature allows you to vote for witnesses easily on the interface.

Information that can be seen under the Witness section include;

• List of Witnesses
• Current witness of STEEM
• Rank
• Witness Status

• scroll to the witness feature
• a long list of various witnesses and their information will be displayed.
• then cast your vote on the Witness you want to vote.

Question 4

Please explain What is DApps and mention 3 DApps which you have already used or may use in future as per your interest.

DApps is an option on the steemscan menu with a platform of decentralized DApps sites.
Users can locate any DApps site of their choice easily via the DApps platform.
Examples of 3 DApps sites which I would like to use in future are Actifit, Appics, Dlease. Others are Dtube, Dlike, Funditon, Krpto Gamers etc.

Question 5

Please explain how to use Quick Convert and what is the fee charged for different steem amount for withdrawal?

The 'Quick Convert' as the name implies is a tool used to quickly convert STEEM to either TRX, BTC, or USDT, as the case may be.

How to use Quick Convert

• Navigate to steemscan.com and select 'Quick Convert' from the menu.
• On the dialogue box for 'Steem Amount', enter the amount of STEEM you want to exchange or convert.
• Choose your preferred currency, for example USDT.
• Type in your preferred withdrawal address for the converted currency and click on 'create order'.
• Type in your Private Active Key to confirm your order.

What is the fee charged for different steem amount for withdrawal?

The fee charged for each exchange order varies depending on the steem amount converted and the chosen Currency.
For example,
The fee charged for 20 STEEM converted to USDT is 1.16600728 USDT
The fee charged for 20 STEEM converted to BTC is 0.00050344BTC
The fee charged for 20 STEEM converted to TRX is 1.41200039TRX
