Plagiarism is claiming another person work your own.
Types of plagiarism
SELF PLAGIARISM
Self plagiarism is define as taking an old definition and use it as a new one, by doing that you are making a self plagiarism and that is not good.
Like example;
Doing my school days ,some people take an old explanation and use it like a new one in their exams. That how some people make self plagiarism.
DIRECT PLAGIARISM
Direct plagiarism is define as taking someone else work and use it like yours knowing to well that, that work you took is not yours but you directly take it as yours.
HOW TO AVOID PLAGIARISM
Here are some of the tips on how to avoid plagiarism;
PARAPHRASE
This is define as rewriting somebody own idea without changing the person meaning.
CITE YOUR SOURCE
When alluding to an idea in your writing that identifies the full name of the source, the date it was publishes .
CITATION
In my own understanding citation is the where of telling your reader or the person reading your text to tell him or her that the text you are writing is not yours.
For example
Accounding to the laws of gravity it says;
Anything that goes up must surely comes down.
HOW TO CITE A TEXT
FIRSTLY;
If you want to tell your reader that the text you are writing do not belong to you, you write the person name you copy the text from the author like you can write like according to the person name you copy the text from the source and then copy the link off the Text
Conclusion
I have read and understand Steemit etiquete,
