My Achievement Two

First of all I want to sincerely apologise for not writing my achievement two ealier than now. I hope I am forgiven by my superiors. Achievement two is mainly about the basic security on steemit platform. It encompasses how to keep your keys safe, functions of keys, how to power up and how to transfer steem to another steemian.

First of all let me tell what security means. Security simply means being free from threats of any form, be it physical, emotional, spiritual or otherwise. If I say I'm secured it means I am safe and protected from any form of danger. Security on steemit means the ability to follow rules that will protect your account from danger.

RETRIEVING ALL MY KEYS ON STEEMIT

I have successfully retrieved all my keys on the steemit platform immediately after I signed in to the platform.

FUNCTION OF MY KEYS

I have studied and become familiar with the functions and restrictions of my keys. The following are the functions of my keys;

Posting key: posting key is used for social activities in the platform. I advice you log in with your posting keys to enhance your posting, voting and commenting on the platform.

Private key: The private key is basically for signing of transactions such as tokens, freezing and voting.

Memo key: Memo key is used to decrypt (convert to plain text) private transfers.

Active key: Active key is our wallet and monetary action key which we use to transfer tokens or power up and down.

Owner key: This is a very important key because it is used to reset all other keys and also to recover lost keys.

HOW I KEEP MY MASTER PASSWORD

Immediately I got my keys I saved it on my google account, I also save it on my husband's cloud, I have also written them down and put it in our credential file.

HOW TO TRANSFER MY STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER USER ACCOUNT

I have learnt how to transfer steem token using the following steps:

Step one: I log in with my posting key and open my wallet.

Step two: I click on the liquid steem icon.

Step three: Click on transfer

Step four: I input the username of the person I want to transfer to.

Step five: I input my active key to transfer, then click on next and the transfer is done.

HOW TO POWER UP MY STEEM?
I know how to power up using the following methods:

Step one: I log in to my profile page and tap on my wallet.

Step two: I click on the arrow on steem.

Step three: I click on the Power up option.

Step four: I enter the amount I want to power up then click OK and transfer to vesting and my steem power increases.

In conclusion, I hope that anyone reading my post will be able to understand and use it as a guide to learn the basic security on steemit. Nobody likes to be in a state of danger so let's keep our keys safe and follow the rules on steemit platform.
