INTRODUCTION
I welcome everyone to my Achievement 4 task which I will use different styles of markdowns in my post. In this post I will be writing about my school which is Rivers State University, Port Harcourt. Please read to the end.
ABOUT RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY
Rivers State University is a owned by the State Government of Rivers state, Nigeria. This University is established in 1980 and it is located in Port Harcourt Local Governments (PHALGA) in Nkpolu-Oroworukwo Community.
Rivers University is managed by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Okogbule and other management staffs. The university has close to 2000 academic and non-academic staffs across the whole university.
FACILITIES IN RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY
Rivers State University is made up of Ten Faculties and their school fees ranges differs in Faculties which is as shown below

The amount of school fees paid by indigenes is quite different from that of non indigen of Rivers State.
INDIGEN FEES -
The school fees of Rivers State University for the indigens of Rivers State ranges from #50,000 - #90,000.
NON INDIGEN FEES.
The school fees in Rivers State University for the non-indigens of Rivers State ranges from #70,000 - #120,000.
ABOUT MY FACULTY
The Department of Animal and Environmental Biology which I belong is one of the department's in Faculty of Science. Although there are eleven (11) departments that makes up Faculty of science which are;
- Computer Science
- Animal and Environmental Biology
- Chemistry
- Plant science and Biotechnology
- Microbiology
- Maritime Science
- Biochemistry
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Geology
- Medical Laboratory
The head of the Faculty of Science is the Dean of the Faculty, all other Head of Departments in Faculty of Science reports to the Dean. Then students and lecturers report to the Head of Departments of their various Departments. Therefore the Dean oversee the welfare of the Faculty and report to the Vice Chancellor and the Head Of Department oversee the welfare of the Department and report to the Dean of the Faculty.
Before every exams, the Dean addresses the students on the rules and regulations, last time he started that;
"Every indecent dressing will not be tolerated in the faculty of Science, and that the issue of exam malpractice, any student caught in that act will be expelled upon facing the examination malpractice panel"
ABOUT MY DEPARTMENT
The Department of Animal and Environmental Biology which I belong is one of the department's in Faculty of Science.
I am a Final years student of the aforementioned department, hoping to graduate next year with a grade 2nd class upper.
So far I have met many good friends like @dboaz, @jahway and @advokate in my departments which introduced me to Steemit.
