My 2nd Progress Report On The Steemit Platform

Hello Greeters!

I am writing to report my 2nd progress report on the steemit platform. I am sorry it came late, but I gave myself a little time to explore the platform, and I can affirmatively tell you I Love the time I have here. In the report, I will write an update on my first progress report, and how far I have learned about the platform.

UPDATE ON MY 1ST PROGRESS REPORT

In my 1st report, I primarily reported about the communities I subscribed to, and ever since, I have been able to subscribe to other communities, such that enabled me to utilize my niches of dancing and traveling. Here are the communities;

Knack4buzz: This community allows me the opportunity to utilize my talent for dancing because the community is about entertainment. To be honest, I enjoyed my stay with the knack4buzz community, and I have achieved something spectacular with the community. Here are some of my posts in the community; 1, 2, and etc. I love exhibiting my cooking and dancing talents, and thanks to this community who gave me the privilege to do so. During my stay with the community, I have achieved something spectacular, and I feel I should tell you about it. During the Steemit Engagement Challenge season 19, the knack4buzz community opened the floor for its members to apply for the post of ambassadorship for the community. I won the contest, so it was a dual achievement;

1. Won the steemit engagement challenge season 19

2. Became the ambassador for knack4buzz.

Traveling steem community: I subscribed to this community so I can utilize my traveling niche, remember, I mentioned in my introductory post that I love traveling, and ever since I have posted my traveling to places in the community. You may wish to have a look at some of my posts in the community;

The above two communities are the communities I purposely subscribed to during this interval, not because someone invited me for a contest, but because I was searching for where I can utilize my niches. I must confess, I love the communities.

As for other communities I subscribed to before my first progress report, I am still active in them, and these are steem for Better Life, steemkids and Parents, steem for Pakistan, steem4nigeria, steem for Ladies, etc.

Let me now report the new things I have learned on the steemit platform.

WITNESS VOTING

I have come to learn about witnesses on the Steemit platform, and these are individuals who exert their tireless efforts in ensuring the smooth running of the steemit Blockchain. I have voted for some witnesses on the Blockchain, and they are;

1. Justyy
2. Steemchiller
3. pennsif-witness
4. Xpilar-witness

The above are some of the witnesses I have voted for.

My Reasons For Voting Them:

1. Justyy; I first saw the name justyy when I explored steemworld.org. I read the post @irawandedy wrote about a hacked account of walictd, and in that post, he talked about discovery account, and steemworld.org, I became curious and wanted to know my discovery account, so I began to explore steemworld.org and learned that justyy is my recovery account. When I found he was a witness on the Blockchain, I could not hold back my vote; why wouldn't I vote for my recovery account holder?

2. Steemchiller; During my exploring steemworld.org, I learned he is the creator of the site. I was endeared to him because he created such a useful tool. I am enjoying steemworld.org, so I couldn't hold my vote for him.

3. Pennsif-witness; I learned about Pennsif when community moderators commented on my posts and suggested I should vote for him, and I asked myself why should I vote for him. I had to learn more about him so I could freely give him my vote, and during this time I found that he is the writer of steem news, his news has helped me to learn much about the steemit Blockchain. After knowing the part he plays, that's the writing of steem news, I voted for him.

4. Xpilar-witness; I learned about Xpilar when he commented meaningfully on my posts and suggested I should vote for him. I don't just give out my votes, I had to learn deeply about xpilar, and I realized that he is organizing charity services on the Blockchain, and this touched me, and I voted for me.

How I voted;

1. I logged in to my wallet
2. I clicked on the icon on the right-hand side of my wallet
3. I clicked on the vote for witnesses
4. I clicked on the witness I wanted to vote for and private active keys were required, which I provided and voted.

WITHDRAWALS

I have learned how to withdraw, I can proudly say I know how to withdraw from my steemit wallet to my exchange wallet. I have been withdrawing and also powering up, but for this post, I recently performed withdrawal and power-up.

How I withdrew;

1. I logged in to my steemit wallet with my posting keys

2. I clicked on the icon beside my liquid steem

3. I clicked transfer. Then key in the wallet address I wanted to transfer steem to and its memo, that is the steem memo from that wallet.

4. I clicked next. Afterward, I clicked ok, then I keyed in my private active keys and clicked Sign in. In this case, 2 steem was transferred to my exchange wallet.

How I powered up;

1. I logged in to my wallet with my private posting keys

2. I Clicked on the icon beside my liquid steem. Then I clicked on power up.

3. I Keyed in the amount of steem I wanted to power up, in this case, 2 steem, then I clicked power up

4. Finally, I clicked okay.

I successfully performed the withdrawal and power up as seen in the final image.

Tools

During my stay on the platform, I have encountered useful tools on the platform, tools such as; steemworld, steem blockchain tools by justyy, and The-gorilla's alternative steemit interface, etc. But steemworld.org by steemchiller stood out as being particularly useful for me.

My Reasons;

1. Recovery account: The tool can be used to recover an account that has been hacked by clicking on the option of recovery account and entering the details of the account to be recovered. This can be initiated by another user whose recovery account is steemcurator01 or steem. I was happy to learn that hacked accounts can be recovered through this tool. But on the whole, we should keep our keys safe.

2. The tool can be used to change passwords, find abusers, and generating keys, etc

3. The Tool can be used for steem transfer search; I used this tool in searching for transfers, for example, the normal transfer I made for the month, Even transfer to vesting.

4.Dashboard; I use this tool to find my voting weight, wallet, feed, and most importantly, account operation. I also use this tool to check my voting CSI, and rewards. I found my recovery account under account details. I can make delegation ( delegate part of my steem power) to communities or users using this tool.

In summary, steemworld has been useful to me and I used it alot. It can be used in performing so many things we use steemit.com to perform, like account creation, and to be honest, I have fallen in love with this tool.

If I could create or improve any of the available tools, what I would change Or Add

The available tools are just so good, or perfect. I would not want to change anything, but I would love to add something.

During my stay on the steemit platform, I have realized that there's no room for recovering deleted posts, or in other words, option for undoing mistakenly deleted posts. I want to use the avenue and beg @steemchiller to please include the undo option in his tool. This is what I would love to add to the current tools on the Blockchain, that's the undo option for mistakenly deleted posts.
