PLAGIARISM

We now leave in a world where most people want to do things the easier way they feel too lazy to make what they do or write original instead they prefer copying others which is very wrong.
Plagiarism in my own understanding is an act of copying someone’s content without properly referencing the source.
It’s actually not wrong to copy Someone’s content but You must reference it to the source.

TYPES OF PLAGIARISM

• Direct plagiarism

• Mosiac or patchwork plagiarism

• self plagiarism

• Accidental plagiarism

DIRECT PLAGIARISM

I refer to this types of plagiarism as the highest level of plagiarism because it’s out of complete laziness. This is a type of plagiarism where one copies content of another in a verbatim manner without referencing the source.

MOSAIC OR PATCHWORK PLAGIARISM

Mosiac plagiarism which is also known as patchwork plagiarism is a smart way of plagiarizing.
Here, the researcher don’t copy in a verbatim manner instead, uses words that looks alike to replace the words in the original source but still has exact meaning with the original source. All the person did was just to change words.

SELF PLAGIARISM

Self plagiarism is all about doing what you did before again. Repeating yourself which is also very wrong.

ACCIDENTAL PLAGIARISM

This is type of plagiarism Which is done unknowingly. It’s not intentional. Like someone forgetting to reference his/her information source.
This can also be a result of making a research out of a rush than forgetting to add the reference.

You can avoid plagiarism by always citing the sources.

HOW TO CITE A REFERENCE

If you want to cite a reference, you put “>” and a space then you put the copied sentence and cite the source.
Below I will show you an example,

a digital currency in which transactions are verified and records maintained by a decentralized system using cryptography, rather than by a centralized authoritysource

HOW TO CITE A PHOTO GOTTEN FROM A WEBSITE

To cite a photo gotten from a website, you use markdown.[source](the link of the photo)
