Hello fellow steemians, I’m glad to be back again to complete the 4th task of achievement 5 which is the last task under achievement 5. This achievement post is about one of the steemit tools named “Steemdb.io”.

WHAT IS STEEMDB?

This is block explorer and database for the Steem Blockchain or steemit users. This tool comprises of a good graphical user view and functions that are easy to navigate and use.In order to navigate the site you’ll have to visit the page which would take you to the homepage firstly. On this homepage you’d see a chart of steem/bitcoin and their prices on the markets as seen in the image below:

FEATURES FOUND ON STEEMDB

30-Day MVest Distribution

Under the live chart you’d find information on the stake distribution by the blockchain through various channels over 30 days. It also shows specific amount percentage distribution to various authors, witnesses, curation and interests. Be mindful that all these values are in Mega Vests (MV), therefore placing your cursor on the interest will bring out the exact value on either of them.

Recent Blockchain Activity

This is found direct under the “30-day MVest Distribution ”. With this feature you can access recent activities within this blockchain. This feature refreshes everytime so as to update the user on every ongoing activity like votes and comments.

Accounts

This is found at the top of the homepage.

It shows a tabulated form of the user accounts on the blockchain. This feature can be filtered according to “richlist”, “post”, “social”, “reputation”.

This richlist has a drop-down arrow which has a menu when clicked. It contains the following subsections; vest, sbd, steem and power down. All these enables richlist to be sorted out in a descending order which is obviously based on the filtered item.

Posts

This feature allows us to view the highest earning posts for the day. It is usually sorted out in descending order of the most earnings .

Witnesses

This shows various witnesses on the blockchain which is arranged in order of votes. It also shows us important historical information associated with various witnesses.

Labs

Here the users get to know various experimental projects that are not yet in Steemdb. It is also a testing ground for various concepts. Below is an image:

Summary on Importance of Steemdb

• It helps users in finding accounts easily simply by searching the account names in the search bar.
• It gives details of accounts with reputation, steem posts etc.
• It gives a chart of witnesses and their various histories to help with easy identification.
• It provides various lab experimental projects that would be unleashed later in future.
• The homepage gives a life chart of the prices of both steem and BTC.
