Now, this was a good one. After 13 years of waiting, this was really rewarding. This movie had my eyes glued to the tv screen the whole time. It left me absolutely enthralled and mesmerized. I’m glad I watched this movie because there are no regrets.
Avatar: The way of water is a 2022 movie directed by James Cameroon. It is a sequel to Avatar(2009)
The movie stars Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana as the main characters in the movie. Other cast members that reprise their roles in this movie are Stephen Lang as Colonel Miles Quaritch, Joel David Moore, CCH pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao and Matt Gerald. Sigourney Weaver stars as kiri, an additional role.
Now this movie was everything. It was a brilliant performance. Cameroon really did magic with this movie. Honestly, my expectation for this one was really high because the first movie was great and all that, so I expected nothing less. And like always, Cameroon did not disappoint. My expectations were far met.
The plot is actually simple. I5 years after the averted human invasion of pandora, Jake Sully, now the chief of the Omaticaya clan, raises a family with Neytiri. He has five children; his sons Neteyam and Lo’ak, his daughter Tuk, an adopted daughter Kiri, and a human boy, Spider, who is the son of his Nemesis, Colonel Miles Quaritch. When the Na’vi is yet again threatened to be destroyed by humans, Jake sully and his family seek refuge with a new clan, the Metkayina. The movie shows how his family struggles to adjust and be accepted into the new clan. It was nice to watch his children learn the ways of the water clan. It was also nice to see them bond and form relationships and friendship with the children of the Metkayina leaders.
Essentially, the story is about family. And never giving up on family, no matter what. This movie shows the never ending love and loyalty to family.
As a fan of beautiful cinematography, Avatar 2 did it for me. James Cameroon’s vision of creating this movie is impressive and absolutely clap-worthy. I actually forgot that the movie was VFX because it felt so real. The video captures were insaneee! I loved the underwater motion capture more. The underwater scenes are breathtaking and would have you wondering if they are real or not. The 3D experience was too good. Almost unbelievable. The movie scenes would have you wishing you were part of the experience. The movie definitely lives up the hype.
Despite the introduction of new clans and characters that weren’t in the previous sequel, the movie is still very easy to understand. There were little problems, though. Like when it comes to jake’s sons Neteyam and Lo'ak, it was impossible to tell apart. They are so identical and that really made me confused. It was difficult to tell them apart. Another major drawback of this movie is the lengthy runtime. But for the 3 hours runtime, it was definitely worth it.
To summarize, Avatar 2 is a great movie that deserves to be watched more than once. It’s one of the best movies I’ve seen in my life. I really can’t wait to watch the next sequel. I’ve got my fingers crossed and I can only hope that it gets better.
I’m rating this movie a 10/10.
