Hello friends,

It is good to be blogging on this wonderful platform again. I am still trying to explore and understand how this great platform works

Have you ever passed by and watched someone with whom you shared an idea implementing the idea? It hurts when your knowledge or idea is stolen and most often, you get eager to take legal action. Plagiarism is a crime, punishable by the law and this explains why Plagiarism isn't tolerated on Steemit.

What is plagiarism?

Plagiarism is the representation of another author's language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions as one's own original work.

To me, plagiarism is theft of knowledge or ideas.
In the 1st century, the use of the Latin word "plagiarius" (literally "kidnapper") to denote stealing someone else's creative work was pioneered by the Roman poet Martial, who complained that another poet had "kidnapped his verses".
Plagiary, a derivative of plagiarus, was introduced into English in 1601 by dramatist Ben Jonson during the Jacobean Era to describe someone guilty of literary theft. "

As already mentioned in my quote, Steemians can #EndPlagiarism on the blockchain by practicing from the following;

Write from your brain. Write what it is and not what another person thinks and when writing, do not try to please the reader. The reader get's pleased when he/she realizes you were writing from your head and heart and gets pissed off when you try to impress or please him/her.
Be creative. We all are creative beings it takes an open mind to hit your peak of creativity. Be calm, do not rush, follow your heart and you will drop some beautiful lines
Learn about copyright-free content sites and if you have to use an image or any form of content, do well to get them from such sites. When you know better, you do better and that's why I am calling on all Steemians to take time and learn.
If you must use someone's work, know how to give them credit for their work: Know how to quote them.
If you practice these simple things, your journey on Steemit will be amazing

I @chukwubuike have read and understood the Steemit Etiquette on Steemit Community and will do my best to embrace them"
