Achievement 3: Content etiquette/ by @confambliss

Hello my dear friends and my fellow new comers on Steemit. Good evening from Nigeria. Is time for me to write my Achievement 3 Post because I have completed my Achievement 2 on the Basic Security on Steem.

Content Etiquette:
Content Etiquette refers to the rules of the game. Yes, the laydown rules and regulations guiding content creation. In steemit there are rules and regulations one must adhere to for you to make a perfect content. If really you want the community to accept you and your content here then you have to follow the already made rules and regulations guiding content creation here, is as simple as that. This also means that you as a new comer or even the old members must study and know the laydown rules and regulations guiding this community so as to make a beautiful and a perfect content.

Plagiarism:

This is an act of criminalism. Yes, an act of copying the whole or some part of another person's content and pasting it on your own post clamming to be the original owner of the content without the permission or knowledge of the original owner of the said content is an act of criminalism and is not acceptable here in Steemit. If caught doing that here you will be severely punished. And again for the members of the community to know and recognize you as a copycat is not something to write home about. So is better not to even try it. Stay away from plagiarism if you want to enjoy your stay in Steemit community.

Types of plagiarism:

Since we have a clear understanding of what plagiarism is. There are many types of plagiarism and all of them are against the content etiquette in question. They are;

(1)Direct plagiarism where the content creator copies directly from the post of another person without mentioning the source or the original owner.

(2) Self Plagiarism where someone copies some or whole content of what he or she has posted before bringing it back as a new post. He or she is the original owner of the content but still it is also a plagiarism "Self Plagiarism".

(3) Mosaic Plagiarism or paraphrasing plagiarism: A Plagiarism is said to be Mosaic when a content creator copies some words or phrase from other source into his or her own content posing as the sole owner of those words or phrases. Please in Steemit is very wrong.

(4)Accidental Plagiarism: Accidental Plagiarism is simply an act negligence by the content creator to insect the source of his or her copied materials. May be he or she was in a hurry to post and so forgot to apply it or maybe he or she didn't know that he or she must insect the source of the copied content, is still an offence because ignorance is not an excuse in the court of law. Infact non of these four plagiarism mentioned above are justifiable so the best thing to do is to stay away from it to avoid "had I known" because had I known always comes at last. always make sure that your go through your content over and over again to make sure that everything is perfect before posting it for the whole community to read.
