There's this post I saw in one of my WhatsApp groups and I think it very important to emphasize it here as well.

Neither can you spell (Woman) 👩🏻
without the (Man)👨🏻
You also cannot spell (Female)👩🏻
without the (Male)👨🏻
Nor spell (She)👩🏻

You most definitely cannot spell (Mrs)👩🏻
without the (Mr)👨🏻
and finally, in prayers, we continue to say (A-men) �
and not (A-women)...

This may look or seem funny but there's some level of truth in it. And it goes a long way to augment the importance or relevance of men; father's to be precise.

Unfortunately for me, I haven't really gotten the opportunity to spend quality time with my biological father. Even this recent father's day, I had to chat with him through video call. I barely speak to my father because he's always on missions in other countries or other towns within the country. He is constantly on the move for God. He's an evangelist with the Light House Chapel International.

I barely see my dad but I am not really bothered because I know it's for a good course. But I remember one time that my dad played a very important role in my life that I will never forget. My dad had traveled to Ivory Coast for a meeting. I was in high school then. I was in form three preparing to write my final exams. I have sickle cell but it doesn't limit me at all. I am a carrier, fortunately. I get sick every now and then especially during the rainy seasons.
In High school, I had severe anemia and needed a blood transfusion. The hospital didn't have my blood type at the time of my admission. I am O negative same as my dad. When my mum called him and informed him that I had been admitted to the hospital, He immediately left Ivory Coast and arrived the evening of that same day and gave me some of his blood. That's how my dad saved me. Had he ignored the call or delayed a day more, I would have lost my life at least that's what I heard the doctor say. I am really grateful to God for the father He gave me.

And on this special day to commemorate fathers, I wish him all the best in his life and ministry. I pray the Good Lord will continue to keep him to see his grandchildren. That God should continue to protect him from all the skims and plans of the enemy, this I pray in Jesus name.
