What is plagiarism and how to avoid it❓

Writing a manuscript is an art. But to me, plagiarism is stealing someone's intellectual property. It may be his work or idea. If you take anyone's creation without giving him credit then it’s also plagiarism. So we should try to avoid it strictly.

Forms of Plagiarism

🚩Verbatim plagiarism:
When one submits someone else's words verbatim in his/her own name without even acknowledging him publically. Copy and paste from a published article without referencing is a common form of verbatim plagiarism. Most commonly, it is seen in the introduction and discussion part of the manuscript.
🚩Mosaic plagiarism:
In this type of plagiarism, each word is not copied but it involves mixing one's own words in someone else's ideas and opinions. This is copying and pasting in a patchy manner.
🚩Paraphrasing:
If one rewrites any part/paragraph of the manuscript in his/her own words it is called paraphrasing. Paraphrasing is a restatement in your own words, of someone else's ideas. Changing a few words of the original sentences does not make it your writing. Just changing words cannot make it the property of the borrower; hence, this should be properly referenced. If it is not referenced, it will amount to plagiarism.
🚩Self-plagiarism:
Self-plagiarism is using your own work where it is told not to use old work. Such as there is mentioned that you can't use your previously posted element in this post. In spite of knowing that if you use your old work that is self-plagiarism.
🚩Accidental plagiarism:
Accidental plagiarism is unintentionally making plagiarism. Such as using Someone's creation without giving him credit or citing the actual source. Even doing any similar kinds of act unknowingly. Accidental plagiarism is also prohibited like any other plagiarism. But I have got a different view about accidental plagiarism.
I have read and learn about plagiarism also.source

How to Avoid Plagiarism?🤒

⚠️ 4 steps to avoid plagiarism:⚠️
I. Keep the track of the sources which you consult in your research.
II. Paraphrase from your sources & add your own ideas.
