Hello friends, good morning.
Today, I'll be looking forward to completing my achievement 4 which centers on the use of markdown style.
Markdown helps to make our posts looks eye catching and well edited. Let's take a look at some regularly used markdown and how to apply them.
1. Heading
Heading can be applied using the (#) symbol. The size of the texts increases or reduces in accordance with the number of (#) we use.
Example:
Good morning
Good morning
Good morning
Good morning
2. Bold, italics or strike through
Bold, italics and strike through can be used in middle of a text to highlight an important point. It's done using (*) and (~).
Example:
Bold: Good morning friends, welcome to steemit.
Italics: Good morning friends, welcome to steemit.
Strike : Good morning friends, welcome to
steemit.
3. List
List can be done using (* or - or our regular numbers 1,2,3.....)
Example:
- Football
- Basketball
- lawn tennis
4. Table
Table can be created using the following symbols. (-- | --). Different columns of table can be created using the above symbol, depending on the intended use.
Example:
League | top scorer | club | country |
---|---|---|---|
Primier league | mohamed salah | liverpool | Egypt |
La liga | Karim benzema | Real madrid | france |
5. Center
Writing in center is very easy it's done using (< , the word center, / and >).
Example:
6. Subscript
Subscript means to write in text smaller than the original texts. It's normally used under images in steemit. It can be done using ( <, sub, / and >).
Example :
write in subscript
7. Aligning text into two cells
Alignment of text into two cells is very easy to do.
It's done using pull-right and pull-left in place of text-justify.
Example:
8. Justify Text
Justifying a text is another important markdown in steemit because it gives your work a very nice layout. When a text is properly justified, it becomes very attractive to the eyes.
Example:
Justifying a text gives your writing a very nice layout and makes your work looks eye catching.
9. To write in grey color
Writing in grey uses the same format with writing in center and subscript but instead center and sub, the word is replaced with code.
Example:
write in grey
