THE POWER RO MAKE IT

Note: Taking your time to read it will go along way to change your thinking.

‘The power to make it lies in you’. Whatever you want to become is defined in what you do today. Many people ask me questions as to the secret of the little achievement have made at my early stage and I reply them that ‘I saw the future from my today’.

It is a pity that many youths have wasted money before the arrival of vision. Don’t be carried away by what you see now, plan ahead for the future. I was speaking to some students yesterday in Ilorin, Kwara State and I told them why they need to see beyond their gaining admission into university. I expressed why many a extremely poor. You came from a poor background and what a pity, you aren’t thinking how you can elevate your generation from poverty. Get me again, ‘your background isn’t an excuse to put your back on the ground’. What makes you different from others is the way you think.

Now get this point clearly ; it is not the devil that kept you where you are, it is your fear.
After you read this write up of mine, take that risk. Life itself is a risk. You have been graduated for years, no job, set up something, get a proposal, tell the world what you can do. Earning salary is not breakthrough. Nobody has become rich or has become wealthy through earning of salary. No one has become a billionaire through earning of salary. Show me a multi billionaire and I will show you that he is not on salary earner. How come some of you want that federal government job or that state job which is not forthcoming and even if it comes do you think that job can turn you to be a billionaire. The greatest problem with Nigerians is that they want to earn without working. Why should I get money for work not done. To a typical white man believes that, for every kobo he earns he should work for it. So why is that a different thought for Nigerians.

I believe after your reading, someone should be able to take a risk. I am here to challenge my fellow youths today, no matter the failure of this country, you don’t have an excuse not to make it. We still have youths who are not born with silver spoon and still made it or are still making it even upon the harsh policies made by our government in this country.
Get me right, after four years of leaving university you are looking for job, it simply means you are not taught properly or possibly you have gone to waste your years in the university. No graduate should be looking for job after three(3) or four(4) years of graduating from university. Smiles, someone may be saying what is the man saying, yes, no one should graduate after those years and still be looking for job.
So, what should I do, THINK, be CREATIVE. It is a known fact that Nigeria has failed we the youths. It was the days of our fathers that Nigeria was enjoyable to some extent. They enjoyed employment, scholarships and lots more but during our time, Nigeria has been bastardized by the same fathers who enjoyed the good of Nigeria but get this, it is not an excuse for us not to make it. If some youth who are not necessarily from the rich home can still survive it, then you and I have no excuse.
THINK, be CREATIVE, let the knowledge impacted on you to create something and solve a problem. You can make money from the problem you have solved. What is the definition of poverty, a man is poor because he has no service, he has no product, that is why he is poor but a man is rich because he has service he is rendering and he has product that someone is looking for. The richest man in the world today, Jeff Amazon, doesn’t have a shop or a physical or big company but he is the richest today, how? Just because he connects buyers and sellers and he collects his commissions, that is what he does. During the period of lockdown, he made millions and billions of dollars.
You can’t say you are a graduate for seven(7) years and you always complain you are broke every day, because there is no job, it means there is something wrong with you. Stop shifting blame on the country. It is the same country that you are and some others are striving to survive, THINK, be CREATIVE. Create job for yourself. Stop giving excuses.
Uber is someone’s idea. Uber doesn’t not have a taxi. He gets drivers and passengers connected and he gets his commissions.
A lot are striving today, they sit down in one office with tie and they are dying. Whether shell or Chevron, it is no longer invoke. You are sent to school to create wealth not to look for job.

Let me shock some of you, though, some may not believe it; am sure some of us do see adverts where will say or write WORK IN CANADA, smiles, I call that ‘21st Century Slavery’. When you are too abroad conscious, you become Nigerian useless. When you are too abroad conscious, you become useless here in Nigeria. You spend the little you have to see how you travel and at the end you become disappointed and you end starting from the scratch again after spending all your earnings on what may not be realistic. I wish to dwell more in this but no time. Am I saying you should not travel no, go on vacation, go on education advancement and come back to use all you have learnt to advance yourself. You are not a slave because of your colour. You are not a slave to the white man. I think I have always said it across board that my establishing schools is not to make the white come to dominate but to make them come as I pay and dictate the policies I want which they must abide by. I don’t run a school to make the whites superior over the blacks but to make the whites see that Africa is becoming advance and they also can learn under we blacks. I am not in practice to be ties down by the walls of courts alone. Even if courts go on strike for years how do I survive or make it higher. I carry a vision big enough as a youth. I don’t need to depend on this nation but to see how Africa can be seen as a better continent through, the productivity of my vision. My vision as a youth is bigger than this nation which I must get focused to see it come to reality.

The problem I have with the youths of our generation is that, they want to EARN but don’t want to LEARN. The result or EARNING is LEARNING. If you remove the L in LEARN, you will see the result as EARN. Stop complaining as if you were the only one that Nigeria isn’t working for, THINK, be CREATIVE and get FOCUSED.
