Achievement 2- Basic Security On Steemit.

The need for security in our everyday life cannot be underestimated, however, one needs to be security conscious in whatever he is doing. The rate of cybercrime and internet fraud in our society is at its peak, and it's a call for everyone to be alert and try as much as he can to protect his account from being manipulated.

Once one is able to understand the basic security tips on this platform it will aid an individual to understand how to secure his account against the activities of fraudsters. Security is very vital and helps to promote peace and unity in our society.

Steemit is a good platform that tries to provide the highest level of security to the user accounts. The steemit blockchain makes use of a decentralized key system to protect user account and funds on the blockchain.

After I created my account I received a key system will different permissions and access, Below are the list of the keys, and their functionalities.

• Posting Key
  This key is very important in steemit because it is used to log in to apps such as steemit.com and also used to perform some social actions such as the posting of articles, commenting on posts, and voting. With this key, one can be functional in steemit.

• Active Key
  The active key is a special key in steemit which performs a specific function for monetary and doing other wallet-related actions, such as transferring tokens or powering steem up and downs. with this basic key, different transactions can be done on this platform.

• Owner/Master Key
  This key can be said to be the most powerful of all the keys because it can be used to reset all your other keys and it is recommended that an individual keeps this master key offline at all times.

• Yes I have carefully gone through the process of steem transfer as shown in the image above. I can now make and perform transfers on steemit.

• I understand how to perform power-up on my account, as shown in the image above I was able to understand how to make power-ups.
