Greetings once again to all the great people of steemit, after the completion of my Achievement 2 i moved unto the next which is Achievement 3 which is about CONTENT ETIQUETTE.
Having adhered to the instructions by @cryptokannon which I'll be talking about Plagiarism.

MEANING OF PLAGIARISM

From my natural understanding, plagiarism is a way in which one's steals someone else's work without the knowledge of the owner or thereby not giving reference to the real owner.

According to Oxford University

https://www.ox.ac.uk/students/academic/guidance/skills/plagiarism

How to cite an information
As a good content writer or a blogger citation of information will always run across your mind, when citing information from any site it should be reference properly in its oder, for example the name of the author, date of creation, page titles, etc... I'm glad that this great community have really spotted out this to all its users so as to know what to do In order to avoid plagiarism. After Putting this into consideration it will show how responsible you are and anyone going through your work will be pleased.

Example of plagiarism and it's correction

plagiarism content
Money is said to be any item that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services, repayment of debts, such as taxes, in a particular country or socio-economic, it is very useful in our societies at large.

Now from the sentence above we can see that they're two parts, the one with the main content and the one with less or u considered content

The main content

Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services

And the non original content

repayment of debts, such as taxes, in a particular country or socio-economic, it is very useful in our societies at large.

which it is not referenced and it's against the law.

correction of the wrong example
We have two ways of representing copied article from one's blog or online

  1. The use of (>) sign
  2. The use of ( "")

The use of (>) sign

Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts, such as taxes, in a particular country or socio-economic context.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money

**The use of ("") sign

" Money is any item or verifiable record that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts, such as taxes, in a particular country or socio-economic" context.context.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money
With the use of those mettods it will clearly entails that you work is being cited. Also same should be done on images that's not copy right free.

I really find this educative and i must say that I'll make sure to always follow and abide by the rules of Etiquette on steemit community and elsewhere.
