I'll be showing you with illustrations on how to apply mackdowns which is of great importance to you when writing an article o steemit.

Below shows different ways to apply mackdowns

How to create headings

In order to create or make heading all you need to do is to add (#) in front of the word or sentence you need to make heading, then note before adding the harsh tag(#) you need to make space before the word or sentence you write.

for example

Heading 1 # Heading 1

Heading 2 ## Heading 2

Heading 3 ### Heading 3

Heading 4 #### Heading 4

Heading 5 ##### Heading 5

How to make a straight line

To make a straight line, you need to input four(4) hyphen sign or asterisk sign.

for example

How to create italics and bold

When ever you want to create italics or bold all you need do is to follow the steps below

For italics
You need to input one asterisk(*) or hyphen(_) before and after your sentence or word.
for example
I love steemit *I love steemit* or
I love steemit _I love steemit_

For bold
All you need to do to achieve a bold text is to add double asterisks(**) or double hyphen (__) before and after your sentence or word.

For example

**I love steemit** I love steemit or
__I love steemit __ I love steemit
