Greetings my good people of steemit, how are you doing, trust you are doing great
I am happy to be here and I want to introduce myself to you
My name is Nwankwo Edwin Azubike.
I am a native of Eziama Lokpaukwu in
Umunneochi Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. I am sixty three years old.I was born into the family of Thomas Ajala Nwankwo of Eziama Lokpaukwu on fifth of May,1958.My father was a subsistent farmer. I am the second son of my father.
Education
Primary school: I attended Lokpaukwu Community school, situated in Eluama Lokpaukwu.I started my primary school education there in the year 1973. The reason for
my late start of primary schoSol was the civil war
that broke out in Nigeria in 1967.The civil war ended in January 1970.During the war, all school age children stopped going to school
for security reasons. Public gatherings such
as markets, schools, churches etc were the targets of Jet bombers and fighters.
For security and safety reasons, all public
gatherings were put on the hold till the end
of the end of the war in 1970. Even after the
war, public activities didn't start immediately.
Infrastructures that were demolished during the
war had to be fixed. This is the reason why I started my primary school late. When I was in
the primary school I did well. In any examination I took,I passed all the subjects
with excellent performance. In 1979 I wrote
my First School Leaving certificate examination.
I passed it with Credit. The same year I wrote my
Common entrance examination into secondary School and passed it.In summary,I started my primary school in 1973 and ended in 1979.
Secondary School:
Having passed my common entrance examination into secondary School, I gained admission to study in Eluama secondary School, Eluama Isuikwuato in September 1979.
However, I didn't start immediately due to lack
of fund. My father couldn't afford the money
needed for my enrollment. He advised me to wait
till the end of the month of October when my
senior brother who worked in a company would
come home for time off. When he finally came home both of them agreed to sponsor my secondary School education. On 5th of November,1979 l went to the school and enrolled.I also contacted prospectus(list of books) and
went home to prepare for resumption. After the
preparation,l resumed school on Monday 12th
of November,1979.As I started late l faced the
challenge of meeting up with studies.
I borrowed note book of all subjects from
my class mates and copied. As l was coping,
I was also revising as the first term exams was
fast approaching.I also borrowed past question
papers of all the subjects from class two students. As l copied the notes and studied,l
also solved problems from the past question
papers. The first term exams started on Monday,
10th of December and ended on Thursday,20th
of December,1979. When the first term exams
result came out on January 1980 I took second position in the class. In subsequent examination
I took first position and maintain it till I wrote my West African School Certificate of Education
WASCE/GCO/O Level in 1984.
While in school,l was the class prefect from my
Class two to class three. I became the school
senior prefect in 1983 when l was in class three.
I maintained this post till 1984 when I finally left
Secondary School.After my secondary School education,I didn't
further my education immediately due to lack
of fund again. In a space of ten years I engaged
myself in other things such as working in a
construction company, learning and doing shoe
tailoring work, farming and teaching in schools.- I did my Ordinary National Diploma in Petroleum Processing Technology from 1995 to 1997. I passed out with Lower Credit.
- When I was admitted,l made up my mind
to study very hard so that I could pass out with
abetter grade. I read and studied all the courses
so deligently that I passed my exams with better
grades than my OND exams. - As at the Year 2020 when l graduated,I was forty years old. That disqualified me from serving in the NYSC(Nigerian Youths Service Corps) I resorted to look for job in the oil company the same age limit became a barrier.
Even though I did all theses things I still need
to further my education. This opportunity finally
came in 1994 when I was teaching as auxiliary
teacher in Umuchieze Comprehensive seconnd-
ary school. As I was preparing lesson note and
tutorial for students my senior brother came
home on time off and saw me studying he
asked me whether I was still interested to further my education.I said yes. Then he told
me that there is a school called Petroleum
Training Institute in Effurun, Delta State, there
they study Petroleum related courses. He advised me to come over to Warri on February,
1995.I did as he advised.By February ending,1995 I went to Warri. I went to the school
to obtain entrance examination form to the school but it wasn't our then. I later bought the
from by March 1995. As l enrolled for the exam
I faced the challenge of revising my secondary School work which will enable me to prepare
for the exam. As I enrolled to study Petroleum
processing technology,I was required to answer
questions in English language, Mathematics.
Physics and Chemistry. I had to get those text books which I already had when I was in the secondary school. I also bought JAMB past
question papers of the relevant subjects in
the exams.I went as far as getting and photocopying past question papers of the entrance examination of the school. With these
materials I was able to prepare myself adequately for the examination. We wrote the
exam by July and when the result came out
by September,I passed it with merit. I went to the school and got my acceptance letter and then was admitted. As at then the school offered
Diploma courses.
In 1998 I got admission into Higher National Diploma in the same school to Study Petroleum
Refining and Gas Processing Engineering Technology
When I took my final exams in 2020 I performed excellently in all courses. When the final result
came out I passed with UPPER CREDIT GRADE.
The age limit for employment then was between twenty five and thirty years. I didn't want to falsify my age in order to get a job.I had to look for any type of job to make ends meet.I picked
teaching job in private school in Warri.
I did the teaching job in 2001*

encounter. My passion for excellence made me
to pass my exams with good grades when l was
in school.
Dislike/Like
I dislike idleness and giving up whenI face chalanges in any life pursuit. I don't give up untill I get to where I want to go.The type of post that I look for in Steemit are health related posts. The reason for this is that
so many people have a lot of health chalanges
I will use such information to address health issues among the people I come in contact with.
The type of post I will like to create include health , education, cooking of different types of food. However my posts may not be limited to
the ones I mentioned above. As l laern from committes my posts preference will increase.
I was introduced to steemit by @ijelady. She told me about seemit and how I will earn income by writing on various fields. She said that I will be able to learn Crypto currency mechanism. She said that I will know which currency to buy and when to sell. She let me know that being in steemit
will broaden my knowledge on modern practices in the international capital market.
In conclusion I will be committed to the activities in steemit the same way I did in my academic pursuit and I will Excel.
