Achievement 2 @elijahstoic Task: Basic security on steem.

Greeting fellow steemians, it's a great opportunity sharing my understanding on basic steem security.
We have master password, posting key, active key, owner key and memo key. They all have their individual functions.

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
Yes I have retrieved all my keys on steemit

Question 2: Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
Yes I do and they include the following below:

a. Posting key:
As the name implies, posting key enables one to post, comment, edit content, resteem, vote for people or mute other accounts.

b. Active key:
The active key is used in performing sensitive tasks such as transferring of funds, power up/down transactions, voting for witnesses, converting Steem dollars, and updating profile details.

c. Owner key:
Owner key is the most powerful key. It is only used when the need arises and it can be used to change any key of an account including owner key. It is used to recover a compromised account and it is recommended to store it offline.

d. Memo key:
It used for the encryption and decryption of memos when transferring funds.

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password?
It is saved in my archive as well as my Google drive and email.
Nevertheless, I have also saved and secured it offline.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
Yes I do know how to carryout the inter-transfer of my steem token. Below are the steps:

Step 1: login to account, click on my profile and on wallet.

Step 2: click on steemit wallet icon to login.

Step 3: After logging in, click on the drop down sign beside the Steem value and click on transfer

Step 4: Enter the amount and the person's account name you want to transfer to.

Question-5: Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yes I do know how to power up my STEEM.

Step 1: login to account, click on wallet and login to wallet.
Note: If you have STEEM, kindly go to step 2 but if you don't, you have to buy STEEM from the market by selling your SBD before proceeding with step 2.

Step 2: select the drop down sign beside the steem value, click on power up.

Step 3: put the amount you would like to power up and click on the power up menu to complete the powering up.

You are done.
