Achievement 2 @ellipsebd Task : Basic Security on Steem

Assalamualaikum, I hope everyone is doing very well. At Steemit, I first completed achievement 1 with my introduction. Now I am going to complete our achievement 2. In Achievement 2 I have to write a post on "Basic Security on Steem". Let me share my ideas with you now. I hope you like it.

Question 1
Have you retrieve all your keys on steemit?

Yes, I have retrieved all of my keys on steemit. I got a pdf and there were all of my keys. I got a strong backup of this pdf. Steemit is a decentralized social media. I know If I lost my pdf I will lose everything. That's why I have both online and offline copies of my keys.

Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?

I want to thank @cryptokannon especially. Because I learn each of these key functions and restrictions from her post. Now I know the functions and restrictions of each of these keys and can explain them also.

Posting key

This key is very important, because most of the time you need this key. The posting key is used to post, comment, edit, vote, resteem, follow, and mute.

Active key

This key is another vital key. Because the active key is used to transferring funds, power up & down, voting for witnesses, and placing a market order.

Owner key

This key is known as the master key. This is the most powerful key. This key can download the whole pdf key again or reset all the keys including the master key.

Memo key

Memo key is used to encrypted and decrypted messages. When you want to transfer your STEEM to your Binance wallet you need to use the Memo key.

How do you plan to keep your master password?

The master key is the main key. So it has to give the most security. That's why I saved my master key in two ways. First I copied it online to google drive and wrote it down nicely in my offline diary. I keep my diary in a place where no one can easily enter.

Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?

Yes, I know how to transfer STEEM tokens to another user. I will let you know step by step how you can do that.

First, go to your wallet.

Then click this down arrow and click transfer.(Market on screenshot)

Now put username, amount, and memo(if any) and click Next.

This Confirm Transfer window will open. Click ok and this will ask for the active key. If you agree put the active key, click ok and transfer will be done.

Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

Yes, I know how to power up my STEEM. It is very important to power up STEEM in steemit. We all need the power to build a strong account.

Go to your wallet and click this down arrow and click Power Up.

Now enter your STEEM amount and click Power Up.

This Confirm Transfer to Vesting will open. Click ok and this will ask for the active key. If you agree put the active key, click ok and transfer will be done.
