ACHIEVEMENT 2 || BY @emerald247: BASIC SECURITY ON THE STEEMIT PLATFORM

Hello everyone!
@Cryptokannon, @focusnow, @kadosh2340, @whitestallion, @ngoeyi, and the amazing team members @SteemAlive, I am using this medium to appreciate you all for the effort and time you have put into guiding us into and through the Steemit and Crypto world itself.
Just for heads-up, this achievement writing is a very powerful tool capable of helping new users master the Steemit environment and its elements, so long as you take your time researching the subject of your task and writing up the post all by yourself.
So, I am writing on the basic security we have on the Steemit website. Security codes known as, keys, are provided to new users when they sign up on steemit. These keys guard our accounts and we ought to know about them. They are delivered to users in PDF format and it is of great importance that every user on the Steemit platform understands the basic security and measures on the platform. Security consciousness and precautions are highly required to secure our tokens and passwords to avoid fraud and any sort of cybercrimes. In general, the precaution is ‘Do not share these keys with anyone or any third-party accessible platform’.
Once you receive the pdf file containing your keys, you should back it up either by printing (to get a hard copy) or by uploading the file to your drive.

• How can one back up one’s key on Drive?
First, you should own a Gmail account.
If you are using chrome, on the chrome home page on your PC, click the app logo or type the URL; chrome://apps/

Sign in to drive, then click the plus button to add (upload new file)

As you can see, I have already done my uploads, so if I need my private posting key for logging in, I’ll only have to click to open, copy the key, then paste it into the required box on my login page.

N/B: Always remember to sign out if your device is for multi-user

The keys you will find on the pdf file
• TRON Public Key (TRON Address)
Used for transfers. It is a public key that serves as the address you send tokens to.

• TRON Private Key
This private key has the very best authority on your TRON account. It is used for signing transactions of TRON, like transferring tokens, freezing, and voting.

•Private Posting Key
Used to log in to Steemit.com and perform social actions such as posting, commenting, and voting.

• Private Active Key
Used for monetary and wallet-related actions, like transferring tokens or powering STEEM up and down.

• Private Owner Key
This key can be used to reset all of your other keys. It is recommended to save it offline at the least times. If your account, by any means is compromised, this key can help to recover it within 30 days at https://steemitwallet.com.

• Master Password
Just as the name says, the master password is used to generate every other key on the PDF file. Do not share this key.

• Your Steemit Public Keys
Public keys are related to usernames and are wont to encrypt and verify messages. Your public keys are not required for login. You can see these via; https://steemscan.com/account/
The public keys include:
Posting Public
Memo Public
Active Public
Owner Public

In conclusion, one should not be confused when one applies a particular key but gets an error message. All one needs to do at that particular moment is to review the function of each key and its application. Writing this post helped me a lot and hopefully will help someone else some time.

please don't mention steemcurator in the post, you can follow this guide to complete achievement 2: https://steemit.com/hive-172186/@cryptokannon/basic-security-on-steem-achievement-2-mentor-by-cryptokannon

Thanks for looking out.

Hello @heriadi, please he is my recruit, please may I know what he has done wrong? His post is yet to be verified. And I don't think he mentioned the curator anywhere in his post

Hello, he must meet the requirements of achievement 2, he has not yet explained the step by step with screenshots to make a Steem transfer, and to power up.

I am also seeing that the image that he share shows his keys. I think he should change his passwords. If he is, your recruit you should help him better.

Ok, I'll do just that, thank you very much @inspiracion
