Greetings steemians, how was your day? I want to create my achievement 2 post this weekend because I have fully learnt alot about my keys now and how to power up and transfer steem to another user's account.

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys from steemit?

Ofcourse have retrieved all my steemit keys, I did this in the process of signing up and I was glad to see my own keys, I have always heard about steemit keys from my friend and am glad i have my own keys now.

We have various types of steemit keys like;👇

Master Key.

Active key.

Posting key.

Owner key.

Memo key.

Question 2 : Do you know each of these keys functions and restrictions?

Ofcourse I know the keys functions and restrictions. Each time I try to experiment and see if I can login with a memo key it doesn't work and that's when I believed each keys has their own unique functions.

Posting Key

This unique key is used to comment, upvote, post and resteem other blogger's post. We can't use the owner key and few other keys except from this posting key, to login when we want to engage and interact in steemit.

Active Key

The kind of key is used for monetary related actions to your wallet, is either you are using it to power up or to transfer Steem to another blogger's account.We can't use this key to engage in posts here in steemit.

It is used mainly for transaction I steemit

Owner Key

This particular key is used for recovering all our keys after misplacing it. Once this owner key gets missing, recover our other keys will be impossible. It is necessary to key our keys safely, especially this owner key.

Memo Key

This particular key has to do with the action of encrypting a message and also decrypting a message. I heard that it's scarcely make used of in steemit.

Master Key

This key was used to be able to generate and download the other keys, while registering my account I copied and pasted the key where necessary and downloaded my other keys. This key is the most important key than even the owner key. Is also known as a master password.

Question 3 How do you plan to keep your master password?

Immediately after I registered my steemit account, I saved my keys by printing it out securing it in my drawer, I made a photocopy of it also and kept it in another safe place in case something happens to my drawer. These keys are so important and they should never get missing.

Question 4 : Do you know how to transfer your Steem token to another steem account?

Ofcourse I can also do this, it was even the second I learnt so that I can be transferring half of my Steem. The following are few steps.

Step 1

Click the wallet button in your profile, click Steem and tap transfer

Step 2

Type the other steemit account in the box provided for it and I used null.

Step 3

Copy your active key and paste it in the box available for it.

Step 4

Click the Next button and sign in. Your transaction gets complete after completing the steps.

Question 5 : Do you know how to power up your steem?

Yeah I do, these are the steps 👇

Step 1

Enter your steemit wallet, under steem click power up.

Step 2

Type in the amount of steem you intend to power up

Step 3

Copy and input your active key and then you power up.

Conclusion

Is good I succeeded in creating my achievement 2 post this evening and am awaiting verification so that I can proceed with my next verification. Happy Sunday in advance.
