- Self Plagiarism: This often happen in the academic world. It is when a student duplicates his own work and uses it for different purposes.
- Mosaic Plagiarism: It is taking out a phrase from someone's work and still maintaining the original content or meaning without giving accolades to the owner
4: Accident Plagiarism: It is when someone cites the wrong source or made a misquote of the original author's work
CONSEQUENCES OF PLAGIARISM
Every work plagiarized has consequences ranging from paying a fine to being imprisoned
- It might cause a poor grade in school
- Can destroy someone's reputation
- The person that plagiarized can be sued to court
And many more
So, since prevention is better than cure, this is how to avoid plagiarizing a work
- Always use your own content. This is the best method ever
- Use plagiarism checker to detect if a work had been plagiarized
- Citation of the source is very important
- Don't misquote or misinterpret content.
