ACHIEVEMENT 1 POST FOR @GENAD||MY INTRODUCTION TO STEEMIT

Greetings to everyone here.I am happy to have joined this amazing platform called STEEMIT.

ABOUT ME
I am Geoffrey Ejikeme Nsofor born on 26th April,1959,the fifth child among nine children.My parents,Mr Daniel Nsofor and Mrs Beatrice Nsofor lived in Port-Harcourt when they gave birth to me and seven of my other siblings.

I looked like a connecting force between the siblings,being in every way, the middle person:fifth among nine children and the third among the five males in the family.It was a happy family.

EDUCATION
My Primary Education started at Sacred Heart Nursery and Primary School,Mile two Diobu Port-Harcourt.I did nursery and started with Primary one before the Nigerian Civil war broke out in 1967 when,we were forced to return to my hometown ,Isu Njaba,in Isu Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria.

I continued from Primary two at Community School Isunjaba with some two years of break when the war atmosphere became too dangerous for school to continue.

When the war ended in 1970,I resumed school in Primary four and took my First School Leaving Certificate in 1974, passing at Credit level.

My Secondary School started at Saint Saviours Secondary School Umuaka,where I did two years and changed over to Saint Augustine's Grammar School Nkwerre,where I cleared my Ordinary Levels while in class four and passed my School Certificate (WASC) with a Distinction Aggregate of eleven (11).

I gained Admission immediately into University of Ife(Obafemi Awolowo University,Ile Ife) to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering but also secured government scholarship to study Public health after a competitive examination.

My parents urged me to take up the Scholarship as a relief to them.In that way,I qualified a Public health Officer.My Education qualifications are BSc,MA and PhD.

CAREER
My Career as a Public health Officer started in 1983 when I was employed by the IMO State Local Government Service Commission as a Public Health Superintendent.

I climbed the ladder of my career from Higher Environmental Health Officer to Senior Environment Health Officer, to Principal Environmental Health Officer,to Assistant Chief Environmental Officer,to Chief Environmental Health Officer and I left the government service via retirement as a Deputy Director of Environmental Health Service in 2015.

In the year 2000,I was made a pastor in my Church Holiness Evangelistic Church International.I was ordained in 2004.I have been pastoring since then.I fully joined the Pastorate when I left government service.

HOBBIES
My hobbies are swimming, reading and writing.

OTHER CREDENTIALS
I am a fellow of Association of Economics of Nigeria,Fellow of Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria,a Justice of Peace in IMO State and a Professor of Christian Religious Education and Management.

HOW I LEARNT ABOUT STEEMIT
I came across Steemit through @focusnow ...He explained the rudiments of Steemit to me and this aroused my interest.I also wish to thank @samuel20 for guiding and helping me to make my Introduction post.
