As a student of UVAS Ravi Campus, I spend most of my days surrounded by animals and nature. I'm always looking for ways to connect with nature and explore the great outdoors. So, when my roommate suggested a day trip to Changa Manga Forest Park, I jumped at the chance.
I hopped on my rusty trusty bike and set off on the 20-kilometer journey from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Ravi Campus Pattoki to Changa Manga Forest Park, following a winding road that gave us a glimpse of the lush green forest that awaited us. The road was lined with tall trees, and the air was filled with the scent of fresh pine. It was a scenic route that filled us with anticipation for the adventure that lay ahead. The ride was exhilarating, with the wind in my hair and the sun on my face.
The park itself is a wonderland of natural beauty, with sprawling forests, lush greenery, and an abundance of wildlife. I parked my bike and set off on foot to explore the park's many trails and pathways.
When we arrived at the park, we started our day with a leisurely paddle boating session on the park's serene lake. The gentle lapping of the water against the boat and the tranquil surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing conversation with my roommate. It was a great way to unwind and connect with nature.
After our paddle boating session, we set out to explore the park's many attractions. One of the highlights was the hanging bridge, which spans a deep ravine and offers stunning views of the forest below. The bridge swayed gently underfoot as we made our way across, adding an extra thrill to the experience.

Nearby, we discovered a giant swing that hung from a towering tree. We took turns pushing each other, laughing and screaming as we soared higher and higher. The wind whipped through our hair and the sun warmed our faces - it was a moment of pure joy and adventure.
As I hiked, I was struck by the sheer variety of flora and fauna on display. From towering trees to colorful wildflowers, the park was a riot of colors and textures. And as I walked, I caught glimpses of birds and animals darting through the foliage - from chattering monkeys to majestic peacocks.
One of the highlights of my visit was the park's botanical garden, which is home to a dazzling array of plant species from around the world. The garden's pathways wind through manicured lawns and flower beds, offering a feast for the senses.
After a few hours of hiking and exploring, I was ready for a break. I settled down in a shaded grove for a picnic lunch, taking in the sights and sounds around me. The peace and quiet were a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
As the sun began to set, we made our way back to our bikes for the journey home. The road leading out of the forest was just as beautiful as the one that had led us in, and we took our time savoring the last moments of our adventure. But I knew I would be back to Changa Manga Forest Park soon - there's just too much natural beauty to explore in one day.
Changa Manga Forest Park may be a world away from the busy streets of Pattoki, but it's a reminder of the beauty and wonder that lies just beyond our doorstep. If you're looking for a day of relaxation and adventure, I highly recommend a trip to this stunning park.
