Hi, hope you enjoy my Achievement 5 task 3 post.
On entering the Steemyy DApp, statistics on the overview of the steemit block chain can be seen. Key data such as chain properties, ticker stats, versions and hardforks stats, dynamic global properties, and configuration stats are accessible. This is one of the blockchain perks, if you are inquisitive enough, you will find no blackbox.
In the "Block explorer" page, you find information about the current block including; the current block number, transactions within, operations within, by whom and other key block data.
The "tools" page is where answers to the questions posed by @cryptokannon for Achievement 5 task 3 can be found.
In this page are tools essential to the Steemit platform.
Let's get it
What is Effective Steem Power?
By powering up our STEEM to STEEM Power (SP) we gain more influence within steemit such as our vote carrying more weight. We also have the choice to lend out our SP to others so they can vote, curate and have more influence - this is known as delegation, we can be delegated to or delegate to others. Effective SP is a user's SP minus SP they delegate to others or plus SP that is delegated to them, its the user's usable SP - you can't use what you've given out unless you first get it back.
I found my effective steem power value in the tools page, under "steem essentials tools" category, within "steem account information".
Here I was also able to find info such as my reputation value, voting mana bar, my 100% vote worth and latest transfer operations in my account. I found that the " steem account information" is not particular to me, I can use it to get the aforementioned info on other accounts by putting their username in the "Steem account id" box. As you can see in the screenshot above, for the user @Justyy, his/her effective sp is much higher than the actual sp, this could mean that the user was delegated some sp.
How do you delegate SP using "Steem SP Delegation Tool"?
The " Steem SP delegation" tool found under "Steem essentials" category in the "tools" page can be used to delegate SP. To delegate SP to a user via the Steem SP delegation tool, 4 info are needed
- Delegator id > sender's username
- Delegatee id > receiver's username
- SP amount
- The "active" key
The first 3, are first required by the Steem SP delegation tool, then the active key is used to validate and process the transaction.
How do you check the Transfer History between any two Steem accounts using "Steem Wallet Tool - Steem Account Transfer Viewer"?
The "Steem Wallet Tool - Steem Account Transfer Viewer" tool in "Steem essentials" in the tools page can be used to check the Transfer History between any two Steem accounts.
How do you automate claiming STEEM or SBD without having to click claim button each time, using "Steem Auto Claim Rewards"?
The " Steem Auto Claim Rewards" tool located in Steem essentials within the tool page can be used to automate the claiming of rewards. It collects 2 info
- Username and
- Private posting key
This DApp guarantees that the user's private posting key will not be stored or uploaded anywhere by its system for those of us with that fear.
I faced a bit of challenge when trying to do this, when I typed in my username I started without capital letter, only after a lot of trial and error, followed by research did I realise we ought to put our username in all small letter.
How do you check the outgoing votes report for any specified period using "Steem Outgoing Votes Report"?
The "Steem Outgoing Votes Report" tool, found in the "Upvotes and flags" section in the tools page can be used to check the outgoing votes report for any specified period. By specifying a date range, I am able to check the users that receive votes for any account I am curious about.
How do you check the incoming votes report for any specified period using "Steem Incoming Votes Report"?
Likewise, the "Steem Incoming Votes Report" tool, found in the "Upvotes and flags" section in the tools page can be used to check the incoming votes report for any specified period. By specifying a date range, I am able to check the % split of users that vote any account I am curious about.
How do you check who has delegated SP to your Steem account or any Steem account using "Steem Power Delegator Checker"?
The "Steem Power Delegator Checker" found in the"Delegators & Delegatee" section in the tools page can be used to check who has delegated SP to your Steem account or any Steem account. Either using the SQL server or blockchain, this tool can be used to check the delegators that delegate SP to our accounts or any account we are curious about.
And thats all folks
This post by @zmoreno and this post by @reddileep were major contributors to my post and I want to say to both, "thank you".
@cryptosharon created the creative horizontal rulers I have been using and hope to continue using. Check out her post on these here.
Till next time ✌️
Glad you found my post helpful, best regards!
